Thanks! - Nothing extra in terms of graphics for PS5 version other than resolution and higher FPS - PS4 Pro seemed to upscale to 2160P when standing still, while on the move/in battle resolution was at 1512P - Note that some of the drops shown are most likely related to the "freeze" effect of the game at times, all three felt solid at their respective framerates during gameplay nevertheless - Significant difference in file size for last-gen vs PS5 - PS4 did pretty good , only some textures at distance (draw distance) did not render in comparison with PS4Pro and PS5 Update: as I proceeded into further into the game I noticed PS5 was dropping resolution down to 1440P at some point during battle. I update the description of the video to reflect this.

I am glad someone finally did a tech review of the different PlayStation versions. Thank you for this video! Unless they do a 1080p/60 fps patch on PS4 Pro, I will wait until I get a PS5 as 30 fps doesn't do the game justice, it seems much slower and laggish compared to the 60 fps fluidity.

It would be great if you could mention what exact models you test it on. There is a big difference in power consumption between PS4 FAT and Slim.

I don't own a PS5 yet, but I'm hesitant to buy games for ps4 that are significantly better on ps5, like Horizon/GoW/Guardians of the Galaxy. This one, however, seems like a safe buy for ps4. I honestly see no different in most of these clips.

The Pro is only 6 years old. It's doing great so far. Games keep releasing on it aswell. The new Jedi game is being backported for PS4, and also MWIII is coming on PS4 with open world PVE zombies.

Have you thought about making an extra spreadsheet with power consumption figures and max/average consumption?

I do actually. Whenever I start a measurement I have the minimum, average, current and max consumption. The "problem" is I do not show the entire capture in the videos, just a snippet of it. I could potentially do some bar graphs after each fps analysis witch those details of the run - not entirely sure just yet.

Nice video but loading times on PS4 vs PS4 Pro are going to be very similar most of the time. They both sport a crappy 5400RPM drive. If you slap an SSD on the PS4 pro it has similar load times to a ps5. I know because I have an SSD on my ps4 pro and it's the reason i haven't upgraded to a ps5 just yet. PS4 Pro has a SATA3 interface and SSD take full advantage of that. The normal PS4 does not.

I agree that in this game, there is no real difference. Probably because it's a retouch of a very old game; and it was probably made for the PS4.

Even on a mobile phone you can clearly see the PS4 and Pro versions look blurry and the PS5 looks clean/crisp. That will be even more visable on a big TV. Not to mention the PS5 version runs at 60fps. That’s night and day difference as far as the gameplay is concerned. I’d take the 2160p 60fps any day.

So what I'm reading on Amazon is that if you buy the physical version for ps4, it comes with a free digital upgrade for the ps5.

Both are pretty much equal me, used to menus of Xbox but really enjoy PS5 controller. Whenever possible I will go PC. But I pretty much game on everything, got a "fake" 5 bucks old gameboy - also can spend time on that one.

@@The98xander I don't see it in the game. On the ps5 setting, I believe there are performance and resolution modes. You can't do that in the game.
