Bought this as a 14 Y-O all those years ago. Still relevant.

Thanks for this upload. When this was released, I was convinced it was the most obscure album there was and patted myself on the back for being the only American who bought it. I read every Boston punk fanzine of the early 80s (I think) and never saw this mentioned. Of course, the American hardcore scene was insufferably dismissive of all British punk at the time. I figured, fuck ‘em. I loved the Anti Nowhere League, the Last Resort and Crisis, the band only I knew about. I’m happy and amazed to see it here.

American hardcore punk has always been a tough guy fest. They often look and act like Hollywood-movie neonazis. STILL there are some great bands and great albums.

@@craigharrison1274 Speaking of American hardcore punk I sometimes wonder if the band SS Decontrol - four of my least favorite individuals in the hardcore movement (actually they weren't bad guys but their fans -ugh) ever look back on their debut album 'The Kids Will Have Their Say' and regret the cover in light of what happened here on January 6th. It's a bunch of baldies storming the Mass state house. Visionaries after all.

I did many hours of spraying on the back of my jeather jacket , Crisis Hymns blah, templates hours of finespray....10 mins in the tunnel at the Fairground, all rubbed off in five mins. Disappointed ...Then delicately again hours of time ... hands out of the head design for Joy Division , whilst doing it Ian Curtis hung himself...turned to club after that. :-)

I’ve got the original vinyl and it doesn’t sound the same as this… I’ve also got a double CD called: “We Are All Jews And Germans” which has got all the Crisis tracks on it that were ever released on vinyl, plus a few demos and alternative versions. Disc 2 ends with these versions which are described as: “Recorded Live at The Bunker Club, Bergen, Norway, Sept. 1979”

i still have this got it when it first came out still sounds great What have you recorded this on? the sound is so tinny / bad
@jefrey55787 жыл бұрын
I think it was converted to digital from the vinyl, which is why it sounds tinny. My record sounds alot more filling. Same thing with most of the early current 93.

@lechmech67786 жыл бұрын
