Such a cool experiment, cheers for the demo. Why don't they do this for oil rigs. It would be SO much safer and still efficient and quick. Can just direct the flow into a big barge on the surface then filter out the crude oil from the water...

Good idea but a pump is more efficient. there should be high speed fluid provided for this system to work. but the most common usage of such system is in the wood shops where there are cnc machines and air compressors already available. you can reporpus the compressor system for an additional vaccum machine for wood dust collection rather than purchasing a vaccumer.

This is a much lower cost method for sucking up mud off the bottom of a lake swimming area. Using water to create a suction to move water/mud/rocks etc.. The method most promoted is using compressed air. That method requires 80 CFM air compressors. That's fine if one has a $7,000 air compressor. High output jet pumps are much cheaper. Thanks
