Opening up and throwing the uppercut and lead punches is what almost ended his night. When he wasn't aggressive he just got walked into a corner. When he got aggressive he got hit with hard counters. It was going to be rough night for him no matter what he did.

Lol no chance. Fury was literally battered from pillar to post in the ninth, a walking zombie out on his feet. AJ never got hurt like that, even when he nearly got stopped at the end of the 12th in the first fight. Fury was actually stopped, but ref saved him

In some ways fury did a bit better but styles make fights and fury is more elusive, awkward, bit bigger and longer reach etc. But in other ways he did worse, got far more hurt and should have been KO'd. That was also not a confident AJ like he is now and with a better trainer. Still not sure he'd win but could probably better his last performance and whoknows.
