No buddy, it is a malignant condition of knees that cannot be healed which made him change his playing style forever. That's the reason he reduced his dribbling skills after 2014 and adapted to new style for scoring@@superuser1729

FINALLY. I've always wanted a video like this. when I was younger I used to watch loads of ronaldo videos, and always noticed that his shooting style was different. You can see this very clearly in Real Madrid or Juventus practice videos where they all take shots. In situations where most people and pros would use their side foot (inside and almost inside the box), he would smash the ball with his laces with exactly the same accuracy. And then further out, his longshots were consistently getting topspin and knuckling, which are by far the two hardest shooting techniques there are. Even lots of pros taking longshots will consistently sky the ball with backspin, or just score because they get a lot of power with a backspin shot, and rarely get some topspin or knuckle. The reason knuckle and topspin are so difficult for keepers to save, is because they can sharply change their flight path, adding levels of unpredictability to the shot, whereas backspin shots always follow a linear path making them very predictable and easier to save. Thats why a lot of pros prefer placing with their side foot, because its much easier, more accurate and efficient, compared to traditional backspin power shots. However, I always reckoned if everyone could shoot like ronaldo can, they would do that, and football would be very different, because you'd see so many of these shots fly in. It could completely change games, as you let a few of these rip and one would be bound to go in, and then defenders would always be worried about this threat. But its really not as simple as watching a KZbin tutorial on how to knuckleball, especially to get to Ronaldo's level where its basically his default shot. There are YT videos of a coach called bartek sylwestrzak who teaches how to get these shots off more consistently, and I think it has a lot to do with your body mechanics of how you strike the ball but idk. I wondered why teams don't invest on training their players to strike like this, but I assume its because its fucking impossible to get to these levels of consistency. This seems like pure talent on Ronaldo's end and whilst I do now think Messi is better (used to think ronaldo), this was one aspect of Ronaldo's game that I think no player could ever compare to. One argument I had, was who cares if you can dribble past 10 men if you can just let these rockets launch, and still end up with the same end result, a goal! And these longshots to me were just as beautiful and aesthetically pleasing, as watching players get dribbled.

Always hit the ball with the bone that connects to your big toe. Practice hitting the ball with that big toe bone until you get used to it. A key tip is to always follow through with your shot and hit it with speed. When I say follow through, pretend your leg is the ball that is flying in the air. You will notice your shot will go much further and faster when your leg follows through. To master the knuckleball you have to hit the ball in the center with as much power as possible and make sure your ankles are locked. Remember I said about following through? Well with knuckleballs you want to hit the center of the ball with absolute power and don't follow through. I hope this helps a bit but I would advise to watch tutorials and practice non stop like Cristiano. Good luck
