@@waleedhussain2119 To be effective and to be entertainer are two different things. CR7 was really entertaining with his flashy skills and his extraordinary pace. But his dribbling style is not so effective. Especially when the opposition sits deep in their own half pitch and the opposition have fast defenders with good defensive attributes (for example: Ashley, Alves, Juanfran and Pzsyskek). Ronaldo cant dribble in tight spaces and use close control as R9, Messi, Maradona, Johan Cruyff, Ronaldinho, Neymar, Ribery, Hazard and etc. He mostly struggles in such conditions.

This video represents exactly the difference between Cristiano and Messi. Messi has been always accurate always with the right players by his side, but Ronaldo use to make a lot of mistakes and those mistakes make him better. He was never a creation of La Masia he make his way to from Sporting to Man U to Real and now to Juve always adapting to new languages, new tactics, new players, always being criticized and most of all always learning. If he didn’t put the work he would have been a Rooney a Aguero a Van Nisteroo ( don’t get me wrong they are legends) but he decided to get better. Messi was always destined to be a legend a all time best but Cristiano Ronaldo work like no other to be the same or even better. And that’s form me what makes him better and the best of all time.

Ashley Cole is a terribly underrated player. He had a flair to his game unlike other England players. If you can see videos of Ronaldo at Manchester United, you may notice that there aren't any of skills or trickery against Chelsea because of Cole. To my point of view, he was the best defensive left back .

He's not underrated at all, was known as the best left back in the world for a while in the late 2000s. Even in their CL win in 2013 Cole was class. He was a perfect left back, like Wan Bissaka now defensively but also very good in attack.
