Nice pickups Nathan!!! Tori and Lokita is a powerful and devastating depiction of the struggles of two immigrants. Another great film from the Dardenne brothers.

So glad to have stumbled across the UK releases of EO and GODLAND being on Black Friday sale on Amazon UK. More supplements (especially EO), and by combining shipping with other sale 4Ks/Blu-rays and Radiance pre-orders, I got them for cheaper than the Janus Contemporaries releases. I do like the JC selections though. I didn't buy any of the other 4 yet, but I do intend to see them.

I love The Fisher King and it’s going to appeal to a much wider audience than a lot of other Gilliam films, but I like those movies as well. Gilliam didn’t write this one, which he normally doesn’t do; he loved the story and agreed to do it and it gave him a chance to work with Robin Williams again.

Nathan, so glad you picked The Fisher King. It’s high on my must have list. I haven’t seen it yet, but I have heard nothing but raves! After you watch it, do let us know if it’s worth the buy. Another B&N sale has come and gone. Every sale I always get one Criterion on the first day, and then watch all the recommendations from the Blu-ray KZbin channels I respect, your’s being at the top. The last day l’ll pick up one more to celebrate the end of the sale. For November it started with, The Princess Bride and ended with French film, Purple Noon (the first film version of, The Talented Mr.Ripley), starring Alain Delon. I did get one other title, A Matter of Life and Death. A Christmas gift for a friend.

I really like the Janus Contemporaries. I wish they were numbered though. The Fisher King is excellent. I also picked up Chan Is Missing, The Others and Cul-De-Sac. The supplements have been great.

I’m in the UK but got all the Janus contemporaries as we got them here in the Uk ahead of the US releases also pre ordered the Feb release Petzold’s Afire very exciting.

So sorry about the divorce, Nathan. lol This video was a lot of fun. Of the movies you picked up, I've seen Godland, which I really liked, especially for the cinematography. And The Eight Mountains is at the top of my watch list. I picked up one final Criterion for this sale - In a Lonely Place, a movie I really loved when I saw it for the first time earlier this year.
