This is why I love D&D. Why being asked to join a game is a challenge, a compliment, and a privilege. A movie is let me show you a story. A book is let me tell you a story. D&D when done well is, Will you help me tell a story?" Thanks to the collective cast of Critical Role for sharing one hell of a story with us.

I know this is an old post, but I'd really like to thank you for the way you put this. In a world that wants to override you, and foment division, dependence and despair, within groups, large and small, and in the self, well, your words stand out! "Will you help me tell a story",?? not of small, petty parasitic wounds, but about growing into a greater world, and being a force for good. Again, thank you Very much.

Moment that get me every time (both campaigns) : -Scanlan's 9th level counterspell vs Vecna -Vax's final goodbye -Beau attending Zeenoths trial -Caleb explaining (internally) his ultimate plan and giving it up & him revisiting his home
@isaiahwelch80662 жыл бұрын
You should have added the end of the fight with Trent, where Nott ends up putting the silhouettes of Caleb's parents against backdrop of Cad's home burning, pointing the accusatory finger at Trent. That moment is just as powerful as Zeenoth, in how Caleb finally gets justice for what was done to him.
@Ryumare7 жыл бұрын
The two moments that get me every time no matter how many times I watch them is Grog saying "No. No! Fix him. FIX HIM!" and Pike and Grog doing the resurrection ritual for Scanlan. So beautiful. Such a fantastic show all around and can't wait for more of this in the new year.

"FIX HIM" is one of my favorite moments in the group. Because Grog doesn't understand why the party isn't bringing him back like the dis for Percy. The childlike attitude of Grog rang true with me because i lost my father at a young age. We wanted magic to happen before our eyes. To not accept the current circumstance.

I’ve watched a bit of campaign 1 and all of campaign 2 and I love all these people. I wish I knew them, it’s my new obsession. It makes me really sad when I try to tell something funny or cool to my family or a friend and they just seem so disinterested because these people mean a lot to me, even if they’re not even aware of my existence I would die to meet them. Critical role is just a bunch of nerds playing a role play game, but it’s become everything for me.

A year late but The way i have always been with to those close to me is if it makes them happy then it matter to me because their happyness matters to me. But dont let those around you snuff out your joy for something that means something to you. It can be such a hard thing to find sometimes. And look on the brightside, we live in a era of technology where communication is easier then ever. You wil find people to share it with that care (like me)
