CA needs to move forward into the 19th century, the times of colonial intervention. Boer Wars, Franco Prussian, US Mexico war, US Civil War and trains.

For that to happen the existing systems in place would need to be rebuilt from the ground up.

I've always thought a move towards the 19th century would be fun also, but I'm a simple man and I love the fantasy world they've devolved into.

+1 to Renaissance, but it would only work if CA finally did proper mixed armament units...

Campaign meat should at least be on DLC.

I don't think real time is a good idea but i do think WEGO would work very well. After all, it worked well in the first two games!

I think at a minimum WEGO is a nice happy medium. At least we could do it for Tim...

New modernized engine is needed.. maybe marry to a gen ai opponent.. charge subscription fee for real ai online opponent ... random events .. Add in domestic politics engine .. experimented a bit with rtw2 .. more random events but consistent with historical context in campaign and battles(?)

I think you're 100% on the money about a new engine being needed for the next Total War games.

AEGOD and Pardox is a bit too complex for the average gamer. Total War Strategy elements is perfect but should be bit deeper with every game.

I missed it but I loved Shogun 2. I still go back to it every now and then. It's installed right now.

i disagree that the strategy element shouldnt be turn based. Most war gamers love turn based games.
