The thing that got me was that Chetney did this...because he felt she overcharged on a 10g carpentry set. He broke into a woman's home and mauled her over ten bucks. At the time I was like "What the actual hell Chetney?"

The economies of the general fantasy lands of D&D are weird, but the best rule of thumb is 1 copper = $1. You can get a loaf of bread for a copper or two. Adventurers are wealthy, and deal in gold, but most deal in copper and/or silver.
