156 damage in a single attack from near the end of search for grog Crit + hex from bad news, 104 points of damage after dumping every remaining charge of Cabals ruin into it. with half damage dealt automatically again at the end of the enemies next turn. He dealt 249 points of damage in a single turn. Level 20 fighters, man.

Might be tough for Jester to quite beat Percy. Most likely I’d say would be Fjord if he picked the Eldritch Smite invocation. Since RAW you can use it at the same time as Divine Smite, he could do an extra 10d8x2 on any given crit. So total probably (10d8+1d10)x2+5+5+3 against a Hexblade cursed target. Admittedly if Caduceus used his channel divinity he could make the enemy vulnerable to that for a total ((10d8+1d10)x2+5+5+3)x2 damage (mean 228, max 386)

In a single attack, yes. But Fjord and I believe Yasha have gotten more damage in their full turn of attacks. Fjord did something like a total of 130 damage thanks to his attacks and his divine smite just after this.

Think about this, had Laura rolled the max possible damage for this Inflict Wounds crit, she could have potentially dealt a total of *160 damage* with just one spell. That's insane, and that would have, if memory serves, just barely surpassed *Percy's* record for damage dealt in a single attack.

She's hit with it before quite a few times. I think this may be the first or second time she Landed a crit with it, though. Probably the second, because I swear I remember her landing a critical early on in campaign 2, but I'm probably I'm the wrong on this.

If Matt was using the basic meta magic chart then she would have regained all expended sorcery points. That is based of the meta magic sorcerer subclass though and many wouldn’t be applicable to the party since they aren’t sorcerers so he probably has a modified one.

And if it was that chart then she would have had the fog spell cast centered on herself so everything would have been obscured by fog so it’s safe to assume he is using a home brew chart.
