@jonas639 Жыл бұрын
What did he say about it?
@Landis963 Жыл бұрын
@@jonas639 If memory serves, the topic at the time was the benefits of a map vs. theater of the mind. Matt brought this incident up as one of the benefits of having the full map - he had no plans for that drill cart, it was just there to communicate the flavor of an abandoned mineshaft. And then Orym used it as a prompt for this move. On the flip side, I seem to recall him arguing that sticking to theater of the mind, or even a marker-drawn map, means that there's more onus on the players to think of what would be in the space that would be useful as leverage, and not all groups are adept at that, nor are all GMs good at the improv aikido necessary to incorporate their suggestions.

Genius move by Liam, but dumb decision making by the group. This was one of the dumbest things they did in fact. This was the end of that storyline. There was treasure all over the cave for them. And they ran away. They were broke and remained broke for a long time after this. Almost as dumb as when they ran away from that dragon in mighty Nein campaign, and Deborah Ann Woll killed it. But they didn’t get any of the treasure Matt wanted them to get.
