I've seen comments about the Talks Machina clip, and it made me realize kind of how dumb it was for me to use it. I had COMPLETELY forgot that Talks was a Twitch/Alpha paid for only subscription service, and I would have never used it if I had remembered that. Not only was I going against Critical Role/ G&S's wishes, but now I can't tell you guys where to watch unless you have that paid service. My sincerest apologies to you guys and G&S and Critical Role. I had gotten so used to Talks Machina being an integrated side by side experience that I forgot it's only free for those on Twitch live in the moment of watching :(

It broke my heart watching you try to get that question across to Travis at the Q&A. I knew exactly what you meant, and shared your frustration at it being hijacked in a different way. I know everything was said in fun, but I really felt for you because your love of CR really shines in your content here
@CriticalGeminiHero6 жыл бұрын
I think you're the first person to comment that sentiment honestly, and I do appreciate it. I had been embarrased because despite trying to prepare and write it down it still came across the wrong way, and as someone who has that happen frequently, to have it happen in front of them and with hundreds of people was kind of terrifying and awful. Sticking to a script was what made it worse actually, it was kind of hard to think while up there and I said dumb stuff.
@AliceBeth_6 жыл бұрын
You have nothing to be embarrassed about, in my opinion. Your meaning was pretty clear. Personally, I think you did a great job, regardless of the response. I couldn't imagine standing up in front of that many people, to ask a cast I admire and respect a question.
@GooseyTwoShoes5 жыл бұрын
@@CriticalGeminiHero the NYCC clip is now available for people outside the US (I think - anyway I was able to watch it) so I finally got to see what the fuss about and yeah, I agree with JRoze, I think your question was well-worded, and honestly, I think Travis' response was born out of a genuine embarrassment at being called out like that. Which is on him more than you tbh because it's not such a big deal to forget stuff, and your theory made a lot of sense. It broke my heart a little that they wouldn't let you finish your question, but thought it was at least sweet of Matt to point out your wicked cool video-editing skills! Ok fan boy moment over keep making awesome stuff thank you bye!
@CriticalGeminiHero5 жыл бұрын
@@GooseyTwoShoes thank you. I don't blame how they reacted to the question at all, and they did let me finish my question and I didn't realize how long it would go on for because of the laughter in between, but I appreciate your thoughts on it and know that I wasn't entirely in the wrong, I could have handled it better but you could also argue they could have understood what I had meant better

On Travis' whole forgetfulness thing, I remember him saying he has adhd at one point and as someone who also has adhd I experience a lot of short term memory problems and working memory problems that I was told were correlated with my adhd. (I can't speak for Travis, we may not have the same experience but I just thought I'd share)
@CriticalGeminiHero6 жыл бұрын
@@HotCupaJo Thanks for letting me know! It helps me to make sure I never take anything too far, maybe I already have. The counter is mainly for myself in that I felt kind of bad and assumed that people thought I was making it up to make fun of Travis for attention, so its more like a proof counter that I had a point than a roast, but maybe I shouldn't do it in the first place. I never want to make fun of someone's disability... it's been hard for me to forgive myself over that question and what entailed and I think I'm using this as a healing process. I'm not sure if that makes sense.

Holy smokes your Q&A question was amazing! I love how the cast was torn back and forth between laughing their butts off and being almost genuinely offended or sulky.
