Heya folks. Been a big fan of Critical Role for a long while now, even getting into DnD as a result, and as such I thought it high time I make a fanimatic video of a funny moment from epsiode 91 of Campaign 2.

looking through the comments I see you've received ample praise for your expressive animation and take on the Nein, not that you don't deserve more, but I would also like to compliment your drawings of the cast, they were very spot on, and I was particularly impressed by Sam. Also, when Essek mentions "having no interest in such things", am I reading too deep into it, or could Matt be hinting that Essek is an Ace character?

I personally thought I kinda dropped the ball on the cast drawings in the long shots. :P As for Essek I certianly wouldn't count it out of the realm of possibility. His blushing in this was meant to be somewhat ambiguous. A lot of folks have chosen to think that he blushed due to Caleb looking at him during that question and being flustered by the attention, which isn't impossible, but it's just as likely he's blushing because he's a tad overwhelmed and this isn't a situation he's mentally prepared for... To be fair to him though, I don't think many folks are prepared for the Mighty Nien.

@@IrregularCharlie oh for sure, any extended conversation with the nein will inevitably lead to embarassment. But I don't think you should be too hard on yourself regarding the cast. Drawing a real thing is never going to feel accurate unless you do a realistic style, and for these people, I think you did a great job at reasonably and recognizably shifting faces we are all really familiar with to your own art style. as a viewer, it didn't feel out of place at all, and I saw it as a highlight

Ok I never seen this before but over the last couple weeks we hit a major chapter change in the campaign so two of the players switched out their PCs for something they can play a lot better and do more role-playing as we were incredibly combat oriented. Those two never got the chance to have good rp moments. When we were saying our goodbyes to the warlock the dmpc, droop the goblin, gave him a hug and said that he was always his favorite over my PC, who actually speaks goblin and helped him become brave. Flashforward to next week, the rogue stays behind in the town we helped and we meet a cleric down the path. We are incredibly suspicious of him and the paladin casts zone of truth to make certain he bears our party no ill will. Droop is in that zone of truth and chimes in that he also submits to the spell. Our paladin asks him, "were you telling the truth yesterday, is Rowan really your favorite over Zix?" The DM goes quiet then says in droops voice, "I step out of the zone of truth". Zone of truth guys. It's always hilarious.

This is probably one of my favorite animations on KZbin. The art is adorable, it flows nicely, it's perfectly in sync with the audio. All in all this is among my favorite artistic depictions of all the characters.I also love how the artist animated the characters and the voice actors as well. There's a ton of great artists each with their own depictions like; Nomi Starry, Linotte, Muchinery, Kanekuo, but I really love that this style is somehow the same story but a unique depiction. It really shows that each artist is special in his/her own way, like this one. Totally gonna check out the Patreon when I've got the money. :D

ya know...i really like how this was drawn and animated i really like how it switches over to see the players at the table and not the characters. I always sort of envision a Critical Role video, where everything that's narrated by the players and mostly Matt, is animated, and when they break character, you see them off to the side, at a table, laughing their asses off. This is the sort of thing that I picture in my mind that's what a Critical Role animation video should look like. great job!
