Anyone can play a bard, but if you want to play a bard well, you basically need to learn how to play every other class, because that's the only way to know how best to buff your team. Magical Secrets just exacerbates the issue

Oh, man. I just got done with binge watching Campaign 1 for the first time, and now I'm going back to watch the panels for Campaign 2 I never saw before catching up with the last few episodes I've missed while watching the first campaign. It's been so long since I've heard their Mighty Nein voices and it's like coming home after being away for a long time. xD

I don't understand when Matt tells Marisha that her and Kima would have a lot to talk about?
@audreykern39776 жыл бұрын
kiwi_xo Because Keyleth and Kima both loose the love of their lives and have a very long life to be without them, so they would both be able to relate to each other's pain and anger. Think Arwen and Aragorn, but even crueler for Keyleth since Vax is taken when he was still relatively young. Kima may be an invert and private, but she and Keyleth loved their spouses with the same ferocity and are probably equal levels of angry, even if for different reasons. They both also had walls up at the start, nervous to be vulnerable enough to acknowledge their feelings and fall in love, in which case loosing that person is often even harder. In addition, they shared in fighting alongside each other, facing immeasurable odds and almost certain death, all while watching death and devastation around them and to people they loved. And given their long lives, they will continue to loose a lot of people they love, including all of Vox Machina. I agree with Matt, I can easily see them strongly bonded by these crosses they will have to bare.

Pumat Sol, no matter how many XP levels, cannot RAW more then one Simulacrum. The spell description specifically says any attempt to create a second simulacrum destroys the one already existing.
@djarchangel66956 жыл бұрын
dunewizard I'd like to point out that he didn't create the simulacrums, the Cerberus Assembly gave them to him.
@dunewizard6 жыл бұрын
I am aware of Matt's explanation, and I have had similar conversations about this very topic, but in essence, either Matt actually house ruled the spell (totally acceptable, and absolutely within the framework of Simulacrum circa 1988 AD&D 2nd Ed PHB. I love old versions coming back because they ARE superior, and far better written.) or the assertion that they are RAW Simulacra is a mistake. I have to go a little rules lawyer here, but in this case I hope you forgive me. Per D&D 5E PHB Pg. 276: "The simulacrum is friendly to you and creatures you designate. It obeys your spoken commands, moving and acting in accordance with your wishes and acting on your turn in combat. The simulacrum lacks the ability to learn or become more powerful, so it never increases it's level or other abilities, nor can it regain expended spell slots." (skipping paragraph about healing simulacra) "If you cast this spell again, any currently active duplicates you created with this spell are instantly destroyed." RAW (Rules as Written) is pretty clear: 1. Simulacra created is under the complete and direct verbal control of the caster, but can be made friendly to designated specific people. 2. Simulacra lack learning ability (making shop keeping difficult, possibly impossible, especially remembering repeat customers) 3. Simulacra do not operate autonomously, no matter how compelling the voice acting or description given by one of the most scintillating DMs to ever grace the RPG hobby. 4. Simulacra are limited to one at a time, per caster. Under the old AD&D 2E rules, a caster, given the time and proper materials could create armies of Simulacra, and with the aid of a cleric (that is one huge list of favors or donations to a temple), could cast reincarnate on them to imbue them with a vital life force, then limited wish to give them a fragment of the caster's personality and abilities, including class, level and spell casting abilities. It is these rules that I genuinely believe Matt was going for, and the ones I personally prefer for this spell. We all love Pumat Sol, I just think Matt should have left the mystery of his duplicates mysterious, rather than spoil by putting it in too small a box.

Fun fact, the Simulacrum can make Simulacrum. Until he's out of Simulacrum with 9th level spell slots.
