I very much resonate with this. I currently work a 9-5 while I slowly transition over to audio, I go to the gym 5 days a week, and I still have time to juggle consuming audio educational content, practicing guitar, working on mixes from bands/friends, and learning how to mix from NTM. This is all on top of managing my relationships with friends, SO, whatever. Anyone who says they dont have time in their day just hasn't audited their day or hasn't decided what should be prioritized. Great video.

Very good points that I can relate to. I think one of the most important things is committing to spend x time in the studio every single day. Then I would add that it’s great to take notes of what you want/need to do with that time and focusing on that to make the most out of it. Especially when you have multiple personal music endeavours, It’s easy to get a bit lost and not know where to start/where to prioritize your efforts in that time, so taking notes of what I want to do has really helped me a lot to focus and have clear priorities.

Great vid! There's something to be said about how bad freelancers are when it comes to communication. Love building a team as well, I hate drum editing 😂

Dude this is great! Loving these tips and tricks to be an audio/life NINJA! Question, how do you determine/plan downtime? Do you have a day where you do absolutely nothing? Trying to avoid burnout and OVER doing it. Balance is key, just wondering how in the world you do it with 2 companies, mixing, a wife, and 3 kids! :)

I kind of have to set aside down time on a schedule and make it the law. Or else it will fill with work.
