Parkview Field in Fort Wayne is consistently listed as one of the best and regularly switches place with Memphis on Stadium Journey's best minor league ballpark. How did you miss that???

Being a native of Fort Wayne and having seen what it's done to help downtown redevelop, it should be on the list because of it. Plus I've been to nearly 50 games there and it's nicer then most minor league stadiums. Cheap tickets for families, cheap but great food, and partnerships with the local craft breweries leads to a great night at the ballpark.

Dow Diamond in Midland, MI is a hidden gem. Home of the Single A Dodger affiliate the Great Lakes Loons. Has a playground for kids, multiple fire places for the cool August-September nights, a big fence along the outfield walkway of Loons Alumni, a local sports hall of fame, all placed in a small midwest downtown. Beautiful field as well

A few to add for a possible part two are: Louisville Slugger Field in Louisville, Victory Field in Indy, Parkview Field in Fort Wayne. Also Fox Cities Stadium (It has a different name but a ton of Wisconsinites still refer to it as that) in Appleton, WI For the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers could be considered. But a lot of these I want to go to anyway when I move to TN.

Cheney Stadium, in Tacoma, WA. It was built quickly in 1960. It was remodeled into a beautiful, intimate ballpark a few years ago. You can see Mt. Rainier from the stands.

I'm not sure if this matters all that much, but the big black thing in straightaway CF in 5th/3rd Field (now Day Air Ballpark) Dayton, OH is just used as wall/barrier type thing. The scoreboard is actually in LF surround by big green Dragons since that is the team name in Dayton. The area around the stadium is revitalizing as there are now apartments in the building seen behind CF that overlook the ballpark--which adds to the aesthetic of the ballpark. In general, I do agree that the ballpark deserves mention as one of the nicer Minor League ball parks.

Smith's Ballpark. Home of the Triple A Salt lake Bees. They are a farm team to the angels. The stadium is absolutely stunning and the mountains behind it make it super beautiful. There is also a train ride and wiffle ball field for kids. Lindquist field is home to the pioneer league Ogden Raptors. They play for the Dodgers. It has a play ground and a nice and very clean environment. The outfield looks onto a temple with that mountains behind it.

I'm so glad First Energy Stadium was at least mentioned. Also got a quick story to tell. Conrad Weiser played Twin Valley in the state semi-final about 9 years ago. I forget who did this, but one of the Weiser players hit a walk-off bomb over the left field wall. CW later went to beat Hershey 6-2 in the state final. 😊 And they've sucked since. 🤔😐

I lived in the apartments right across the street from Regions field in Birmingham during college. By far the best stadium experience ever. The beers aren’t over priced. They have themed games with special promotions. The games are always packed and it’s location is awesome with a brewery right across the street and a park next door. I’d give anything to move back there.

Fort Wayne represent. The ironic thing about Fort Wayne and Chattanooga is the influence in venues ironically. Went and visited a family friend that lives down there. Said friend works in the Chattanooga Lookouts' Stadium. Their riverfront was actually an influence for ours, and vice versa for the ballparks.

Been to Bricktown Park. It is really nice and it was awesome as a Cincinnati native walking around to see a statue of Johnny Bench. I was only going to be able to stay for a few innings because I had to go to Muskogee for work the next day, so I wasn't a fan of the policy of closing the upper decks for weekday games, but it was still nice to catch a AAA game after we lost it where I live now.

I was in attendance when the Edgardo Alfonso led Cyclones won their first earned title in team history. That was the most thrilling moment I’ve ever experienced live at a game.

Regions Feild in Birmingham is awesome not only bc of what you said, but also bc it has a brewery across the street, and who doesn’t want local craft beer right across the street and in the stadium. Also Children’s Hospital overlooks the field, and at the 7 inning stretch fans wave to the children in the hospital with their phone light on (bc most games are night games) just like the Iowa Hawkeyes in collage football.

Modern Woodmen Park is a masterpiece. I absolutely love ballparks where home plate is facing a body of water. PNC, AT&T, and Great American got it right. It creates good views and I should also say that the reason home runs came into existence is because when the game was invented balls would get hit into a nearby lake, so instead of diving in after it, they let them run around the bases to home plate.

besides the carousel in the outfield I don’t see anything that would say it’s a top minor league stadium. Though the local craft beer is a good touch. Went to a game last summer, enjoyed the baseball more than the stadium itself.

Suggested it on Twitter earlier, but here it is again. ONEOK Feild in downtown Tulsa Oklahoma. Home of AA Texas League Affiliate of the Dodgers, the Drillers. Splash pad and play area behind the batters eye. A large outdoor bar under the scoreboard, great view of downtown, cheap tickets ($6 for lawn, $10 starting for seats), and let's not forget that nearby OSU-Tulsa allows free parking for night and weekend games, for only a 2 block walk. With the revitalized downtown, it's a great way to spend the day.

5/3 ballpark is super nice, the Whitecaps and Lugnuts (Cooley Law Stadium) both have beautiful fields here in MI. Oh yea, Comerica Park is nice too

I don’t know if they’re still around, but Isotopes Park has several statues of the Simpsons around the concourse (as the team was partially named in honor of an episode where Homer goes on a hunger strike to stop their minor league baseball team, also called the Isotopes, from moving to Albuquerque).

1. Louisville Slugger Field definitely should have been on this list. A surprisingly state-of-the-art complex, and in the home of the most famous brand of baseball bat, no less. 2. BB&T Ballpark - Charlotte Knights. It was just built a few years back and it’s in the heart of uptown CLT right near Bank of America Stadium and Spectrum Arena. The view over the outfield is amazing.

Fun fact: The Albuquerque Isotopes used to send players to the LA Dodgers, of the Major League. Now they send them to the Colorado Rockies. There is also an MLS Championship Soccer team that plays there, known as New Mexico United. Look it up, it's very interesting

I've been to Modern Woodmen before and had a fantastic time. Back when the River Bandits were the single A affiliates of the St. Louis Cardinals, we traveled up to the quad cities to watch the Bandits get smoked by the Peoria Chiefs. My younger brother also got his first game ball and it was a great time of bonding and baseball. Also, we watched a Chiefs player drive a home run into the river. Good times indeed.
