What a lovely series this is. You were very fair and kind with the feedback and it helps all of us learn more. Thanks to CTM and the viewers who sent in photos, I was too scared.

Hey! Carlos Ayuso here! I can’t believe I didn’t get to see this video until now! Thanks for the feedback mate! Love it! Regarding the tight angles, the first shot with the Land Cruiser it wasn’t any room left! I had cars parked in both sides unfortunately. I do usually crop really tight tbh as my photos end up in really small websites so I have to get as close as possible. But loving the feedback! Thanks!❤

Thanks for including me, after watching this I definitely learned and noticed the importance of the roofline with the surrounding environment- I have never considered that before and I appreciate the lesson learned!!

same for my photos, I was so excited when he said that those are unfiltered or something like that, but i guess that doesn't mean that everyone got here

@@michaelq16000 Hey! I'm sure this video took an insane amount of hours and work, so either way we should be grateful for all the effort he put into it!! Either way, he said he intends to get through them all and not filter anyone out but, as you can certainly imagine, that will take more time, more work and more videos. They will eventually come out. Meanwhile, let's all be supportive so he can know how beneficial these videos are for us, and how eager we are for them to keep coming out!

I didn't even submit anything but I love seeing both what the community has to offer and ways that certain shots can improve. Its really cool when I notice something and then you call it out but it's even better when you point out something I hadn't even considered. I can't imagine the amount of time it took to do this, thank you so much for your work! Something you're pointing out a lot is called a tangent; ie. when some contour and/or line match up and make a relationship that's unintentional. I know most people are probably not going to need to know the "official" term but it helps if anyone wants to learn more.

thanks for the kind words, and for the terminology info!

I'm so happy you're making these feedback videos! Ready for some feedback on the feedback? 😅 A 30 minute video might be easier on you and the viewers, so that the energy is as strong at the end of the video as it is at the start. It is admirable that you aim to give us all feedback, but I would be understanding of you selectively taking certain photos and discarding others, so that you can teach about CPL use or avoiding poles growing from cars 1 or 2x in the video rather than 5x to 10x.

Thank you! I really appreciate this, I will take it to heart, I want this to improve. Especially when someone submitted a bunch of images, I plan to just pick 2-3 to talk about ahead of time based on what images will have the most useful/unique criticisms. Thanks again!

Thanks for featuring me and thank you for the feedback! It’s really helpful. Truth be told, I didn’t edit the photos, but I’ll play around with an editing app to see what I can do. I’ll send them back to you if interested. I’ll let the city know about the plastic on the trees 😂 Looking forward to seeing more of your critiques 💯

Composition master class! The past couple weeks I’ve been working on learning how to use my CPL effective, cutting out reflections, and trying to minimize background subjects or distractions. Definitely going to keep horizon lines and background lines on the mind this week!

Hmmmm.....need to watch those vertical lines. Unintentional photo bombs. Hard to shoot on the street without light poles and wires, etc. Use a circular polarizer, too
@capturingthemachine7 ай бұрын
Yes, it can be really tricky. If the verticals are out of focus (through shallow depth of field) or not directly intersecting with the car, it's possible to get away with it. Thanks for watching!
