Best review I've seen of the Nitro Deck yet! The examples given with other controllers/handhelds and D-pad testing with Contra are all very helpful. Kinda a bummer that there's light bleed despite the 100$ price tag on the limited colors though.

Bought one already. Lot easier to hold onto. Don't have to dock. Really love to play on the Nitro Deck. Got the Gamecube looking limited edition.

I just pre-ordered a Limited edition Crystal Pink Nitro Deck, should be delivered 2nd or 3rd week of December. Looking forward to it, but hoping I don’t regret it bc of hearing mixed reviews. I do enjoy handheld mode quite a bit. I’m like, 90% I’ll like it, fingers crossed 🤞🏽

@@ryboul Honestly, truthfully love my Nitro Deck. I use it literally all the time. I play handheld mode like 95% of the time. I only use my joycons when I absolutely have to now, like for Switch Sports or co-op multiplayer. I love having the 4 buttons on the back to remap to any button I need. The “right stick issue” many people have mentioned, isn’t really a big deal-breaker for me. I have kinda small hands, but I like how the Nitro Deck feels. I don’t really have an issue using the right stick when I need to, like playing OverWatch 2 or Fortnite. (But gyro-aim really helps not needing the right stick *as much*) I’d say it took me maybe a couple hours to “get used to” the Nitro Deck’s feel. But I legit, really honestly have no regrets buying my Nitro Deck & use it basically all the time. :)

You can turn the bright button dim/off by pressing the program button at the back. Good review, and a good concept of the device. However, the grip is slightly slippy and unsteady comparing with the HORI split pad.

The white version wiil look really good with the OLED screen. The Hal effect sticks are a big plus!!!!

Both are very comfy but I think the Satisfye is slightly more comfy.

Great review. I love everything about this device but it is so pricey... especially when the switch is coming close to the end of its life cycle ...

Yeah agreed. It has made me want to play Switch in handheld mode more. I hope the next model has much better ergonomics.

Every single review of this product makes a point of 'getting fingerprints on the screen'... A screen that is an input device, as in a touchscreen that is supposed to be poked with fingers. If you're going to complain about that why not say the same about the buttons? They're a glossy finish and undoubtedly will get fingerprints in them.

I agree with you and it has bothered me as well that they all say it's bad you have to touch the screen. My nitro deck even came with a cleaning cloth

Everyone is out here measuring joysticks and all this minutiae but no mention of the god awful rumble. It’s loud and only rumbles in a single frequency.

I have rumble turned off system wide so I didn't even think about it when I was working with the device. I don't like rumble. Never did.

Controller definitely not worth the 100$ I payed. Got better and way cheaper on temu believe it or not. These amy feel more better but Rumble sucks, drains the shit out your battery, charges super slow when playing plugged in. The stand is trash, and the concept of being able to use it as a controller while docked as a wired controller is ridiculous, sure maybe it can come in handy but really...
