I will do a takedown and reassemble vid since this is a definite keeper in my collection. As well, I wanted to know if the bearings were steel or ceramic for myself. That said, I am slow and methodical with my takedowns, so it will be replete with some extreme FFWD segments.

I love Burnley designs, and I always knew I would get one if/when they upgraded the steel. Did I overpay? Yes. Did CRKT muck a couple things up? Yes. Did I have to tune/finish it to my liking? Yes. Am I glad I got one of my favorite designs with upgrades now? He** yes.

@@MitchBollig if that knife had a different name on it I would have pulled the trigger already

They definitely should’ve stonewashed the blade. How thick is the metal behind the edge, I just bought one hopefully it’s not too thick behind the edge. I like razor sharp knives

My caliper only goes 2 digits, but consistently measures .6mm behind the edge, so assume around .023". 1/4" up the grind bevel it measures 1.6mm, so ~.063". Not a super thin slicer - more of an everyday cutter for whom Lucas Burnley designs resonate. Thanks for stopping by!

Yea upgrade to g10 or micarta on both sides! One scale siders are dead to me.

I can definitely understand that perspective. For my part, the Hinderer Half Track changed my entire view of one-side-with-scale knives.
