My Granny Rose Chambers Mulchrone used to ride her bycycle to Croagh Patrick on Reek sunday , put her shoes on the handle bars and climb the Reek barefooted saying her Rosary and prayers. Back down back on the bike and home to cook the family dinner. Hardy woman . RIP Rose. xxx

My Cousin Andrea and her Husband Daniel and I, are going to Wales and Ireland to find some of our Gwilt/Lynch ancestors, and we plan on trying the climb of this beauty. This will be Daniel's third climb and Andrea's 2nd. The 1st for me. I will do it. Nothing will stop me. I have much angst to put to bed, and I think this climb, with the aid of Saint Patrick's spirit, will help to cleanse me of roadblocks in my life. Sláinte!

Thank you! I'm from Seattle - my great grandmother wrote about the mountain and Clew Bay, collecting cockles there when she was a girl before coming to America. I'm looking forward to this climb with my own children.

Excellent video! Princess is a trooper--definitely doesn't act like a princess!!! Had/have a trip still planned...going to Black Forest/Bavaria, Germany this year. I have planned for; Dublin, Leap Castle, Clonmel, Croagh Patrick, Cliffs of Mohr, and maybe Aran Islands. I've found though that some of the best-planned trips are made absolutely incredible by unexpected diversions from the plans, especially in Europe.

I like your video. Thanks so much. I am coming from America and want to climb this next month. I am staying in Dublin. Is it too much to travel there, climb the mountain and go back to Dublin in one day? Erik Bohlin

Great clip! Was wondering what time of year you went (Reek Sunday seems mad busy with climbers - your clip was more leisurely which was nice). Also, is there any comparison with climbing to Dun Angus on Innishmore? Took that trek once - trying to get perspective on how Croagh Patrick would be different. Cheers!

Loved the video. My husband and I are planning a trip. Would like to talk to you about the realistic climb of people in their 50s. Can I email you? If so how? Thanks Andrea
