i can remember these as horrible Dark times in Catholic Ireland .. the church and the catholic religion dominated almost every aspect of peoples lives ...those days are over . Thank God !

I want to make this pilgrimage Lord willing but disappointing that when this was filmed they had the TLM at the top, now the novus ordo.

People climb every day of the year now so the annual pilgrimage is not as significant. Traffic has increased so much that the path has become very dangerous in places. Restoration work started last year but due to covid was put on hold.
