The video of the lions is amazing!! Their reflexes are so fast, really needed the slo-mo to see what happened. Can't tell you how happy I am to see BOTH cubs of the Island female!!! I was so afraid she had lost one. Thank you so much for the update on her and her cubs!! Always good to see cheetah, my favorite cat. Great video, thank you!! From reading online, it looks like the lion with the stomach injury has had it for quite some time.

The first approach of the Crocodile, was not to risk, but the second a little more, I think he touched his mouth ... fortunately, more fear than harm 🙂 in addition it is the one who is injured , his wound is weird, poor lion 💕, he must have been afraid ... Takes some fairly advanced putrefaction before only the more steely-gutted specialist scavengers can stomach it. Carnivores in general and the big-game specialists in particular tend to have too infrequent meals to be overly fussy about freshness.

The croc's charge both times was to scare the Lion rather than to catch a hold of it. A croc wouldn't miss by that much if it didn't want to. The croc is probably aware that the Lion is no lightweight like cheetah and it just wanted the Lion out of the water so that it could feed on the hippo carcass.

Notice how the croc never actually attacked, it only broke surface quickly with mouth open. It never bit of tried to bite the lions. Crocs are very aware these are big male lions and won't risk injury. This was the crocs trying to scare the lions away from the kill

Crocs like Lions themselves prefer a much easier and smaller prey. Taking down a Lion in water would mean an incredibly intense struggle and Crocs have terrible stamina.
