If I am allowed to make a suggestion: Don't do all three out of four borders all the way around, including the top. Because it makes the sides not pointy, and pointy would have been better. So you may want to make the blue border only on the curved sides, not on the straight top. Also the big flowers on the bottom seem very lonely without leaves, and there are huge triangular gaps. A pair of leaves (as in the original pattern you copied) would easily solve the problem.

well it is a wrap more than a shawl I made a tie for mine and 3 small shell buttons on the front to hold it in place and wear it down more around the shoulders not over them it looks best this way for this pattern : )
