Thank you soooooooo much! I made a queen size crochet blanket for a very dear friend for her 79th Birthday this coming week! She was an English teacher at a high school for many years. Her schools logo was an anchor and I've been stressing myself MAD trying to do this via many sites. It took me an hour and 2 failed attempts but now I have it!!!! Thank you so VERY much for teaching an old dog a new trick!

Hi ! Just made the anchor to put on square for baby blanket. Navy family and this is my greatgrandchild coming. Husband says the bottom is called the fluke. I have learned so much from you . This 65 year old grandma took up crochet again after 30 years. All I knew how to do before was the rectangle granny square never ending to make blankets etc. No videos back then ha ha. Thank goodness for you ! You are clear and easy to follow. Thank you so much !!!!

Jayda you can make those baskets with a nautical theme For memorial day and 4th of July to And you can put the anchor ⚓ on the baskets with shells What size hooks and is a 4. 25 mm A g hook
@JaydaInStitches Жыл бұрын
Hi Susan, you could absolutely add this applique to baskets (blankets, bags, etc). You should use the same fiber as the project it will be attached to (if it's an acrylic basket, use acrylic for the applique etc.) but the hook can be the same one used in this tutorial, just so the stitches are nice and small.

Hello! Jayda... I'm having a little problem with doing a slip stitch and connecting me four corners on a granny square. can you do a video on that.
@JaydaInStitches9 жыл бұрын
+Tracey Harris Hi Tracey, I'm not sure what you mean by connecting your four corners on a granny? I have a granny square tutorial, if you haven't had a chance to check it out, you might find it to be helpful (it's on the channel homepage, just click on my name and you should find it there :)

I'm making a baby blanket, and am wanting to pair this with the teddy bear square. would this work in place of the heart appliques
@JaydaInStitches7 жыл бұрын
Hi! Yes, I'm fairly sure there's enough space under the Teddy Bear face for a couple of these anchors :) Cute idea!
@TheAjjupiter8 жыл бұрын
Love this. I need one a little smaller...:)
@JaydaInStitches8 жыл бұрын
+Cynthia Clark Hi Cynthia, if you want a challenge, you can try this exact pattern using a size 1 or 2 crochet thread and a size 2.00 mm hook. You'll get a much smaller anchor which you can still use as an applique!
@teresaolaizola87857 жыл бұрын
I am not sure about the top part, but the bottom 2 'hooks' are similar to what are called "barbs". Like the shape of an arrow's tip. Barbs are meant that the arrow is difficult to remove.

Can you show us how to make a smaller one. like small enough to go on a baby bootie
@JaydaInStitches8 жыл бұрын
+Lacey Martin Hi Lacey! If you have crochet thread or embroidery floss and a size 2.00 mm hook (or one that's a little smaller - I'm talking steel hooks here) then you can use this exact pattern...just pack your patience, because working tiny can be trying! :) Have fun!

how to I make this smaller for a newborn hat
@JaydaInStitches8 жыл бұрын
+Tonia Hart Hi Tonia, this anchor winds up being about 8 cm tall, but if you want it to be smaller, use thinner yarn and a smaller hook, like a 3.00 mm :)

+Jayda InStitches thank you - I will give that a go.
