Love these little wings. I facilitate a prayer and recovery ministry/bible study for pregnancy loss. I will be making these to gift at the end of our study for a Bible keepsake.

I was searching for a beginner crochet cross. Unfortunately I’m struggling with it. I searched for an easy angel tutorial instead, and I found you. I had tears as I was following along. I made one in sparkly white. I have to make more to send to the mentioned organization. God Bless the little angels and all your hands for what they create for them. Thank you for this.

I recently lost my son at the young age of 43 six days before his 44th birthday. I also had a miscarriage...so I want to make these angel wings in honor of my babies who have gained their wings. I have been crocheting half the day trying to finish hat's n scrafs, fingerless gloves.... taking a break I tried crocheting ❄️ snowflakes. Well I manage to crochet two of them and I do have arthritis in my thumb and I believe maybe some around my wrist or it could be carpal tunnel. Needless to say I had some three weight yarn it's white with the shimmering silver, I used a 3-m m hook, I was surprised that my hand didn't hurt more than usual when I do small hooks or thin yarns . So I was scrolling through and seeing the angel site and came upon yours I made my first wings I will make more to donate in the honor of my babies yes one was 43 but he was still my baby. So in the honor of my son, I will make 44 angel wings if not more.

I just saw your video. These wings are awesome and just what I need to complete the Christmas ornaments I am making for my daughter. She lost two of her babies during her pregnancy so these ornaments have their newborn beanies (which I crocheted), beaded bracelets with their names and "born to heaven" dates. I want to put wings in each ornament and these will working perfectly, but I need them to be just slightly larger. How can I increase the pattern to make them just a little bigger? Thank You.
@DawnLewisImagery9 жыл бұрын
+Lynn Lane ... Lynn, the easiest way to increase the size is to use a larger hook and larger ply of yarn, and crochet in exactly the same manner :) What a wonderful thing to do for your daugher :)

It can be a bit tricky making up that second wing, I try to keep the stitches as tight as possible, and practice definately helps!
@tamigiggles3187 жыл бұрын
Could i get a written pattern also please? Im having trouble figuring out which stitch youre going into after the first one or if all tjose stitches go into first chain. Thanks Tami
@DawnLewisImagery7 жыл бұрын
Tami, you can find the written pattern in the description box of this video. All stitches do go into that first chain. :)

@DawnLewisImagery10 жыл бұрын
Tinkertinkbell, the wings are double sided, so you can use them either way :)

Is there a written pattern please I would love to make them but I'm new to crochet have a great day Sue x
@DawnLewisImagery9 жыл бұрын
sue palethorpe I recently added the pattern to the description box, but will pop them in here for you in case you can't see it on your device :) Pattern: Ch x 2 Into 2nd chain from hook (work into this chain for entire project) HDC x 1 DC x 1 Tr x 1 DTC x 1 TTR x 1 (triple treble crochet) Ch x 3 Into 3rd chain from hook, slst x 1 Ch x 5 Slst into original chain, same as the other wing Ch x 8 Into 3rd chain from hook, slst. Then, into the original chain (where you worked the first wing) TTC x 1 DTC x 1 Tr x 1 DC x 1 HDC x 1 Ch x 1 Slst then bind off. I have used 3 ply yarn and a 3mm hook. See a description of all crochet stitches here: styledbykristin.com/crochet-stitch-glossary/
