I love this! My axolotl looks great despite my confusion on the gills. I eventually got it. And a tip for anyone reading this is when you have to go through the post of the single crochet in the gills mark it with a stitch marker so you don’t lose it! It really helped me.

honestly the best crochet channel i've seen! i already made the dalliha the dragon pattern in a sagey green with fluffy white accents, and i plan on making the sharks for markets! very useful as someone trying to get a etsy shop up and running. love the patterns as well as the editing of the videos :]

Mine was great until we got to the gills and then it was confusing and I lost where everything was. I might try slow the video down but it’s quite hard to see exactly where you mean with each stitch on the gills

I have tried to do the gills so many times and i just can't seem to understand exactly where you are putting your stitches... I've slowed it down, I've tried stitch markers, I've watched and rewatched, can you please comment with clearer instructions? Where precisely are you putting the single crochets when doubling back?

I want to double the size of the axolotl but can't get yarn large enough, would I be able to 2x the amount of stitches and 2x the amount of rows or would that mess up the pattern do you think?
@loopsandknotscrochet4 ай бұрын
The easiest way would be to double or triple-strand your yarn. But you could try doubling the st count! You'll have to tweak the pattern as you go to make sure everything sits right. Let me know if you need any more help! 🥰

I got to 41:30 and the eye popped out! 😭 any tips on how to fix that? It's a gift and I need this done asap
@loopsandknotscrochet4 ай бұрын
The safest thing to do is pull the second one out and embroider the eyes instead. I have a tutorial linked in the description for that. You can also glue them in place, but if it's something that will be played with/touched, embroidering would be safer! I hope you finish in time! 🥰🤗
@Ballet6064 ай бұрын
@@loopsandknotscrochet Thank you soo much! The glue worked, the gift isn't going to be played with, the person has a shelf of axolotl things. Good thing too cuz embroidery is hard for me😂

How many times did you single crochet into the post of the other single crochet for the gills? [Does this question even make sense? 💀] I just need a reference point because my yarn is just a little bigger than yours, and I don't know if I need to tweak it a little bit. EDIT: WAIT, NEVERMIND, I'M JUST STUPID AND DIDN’T READ THE SCREEN, MY BAD-
