As a completed beginner who has never crocheted a thing in my life, the beginning magic circle was incredibly difficult to learn, but that may be my pea brain. If I could start over, I would def choose something square lol, but you were sooo amazingly proficient at teaching and even repeating the steps numerous times so that I didnt need to keep pausing and rewinding helped SO much. Grabbed a dollar store crochet kit thinking I could learn crochet but it made absolutely no sense to me! So I got some more yarn and picked your video to start with. My first was awkward and saucer shaped because the yarn sleeve was wrong about the size, it wanted a size 6 hook when I needed a 3.5 or so haha. I switched down to the smaller one from the kit and finally bought a proper size hook using your kit recommendation and looking up the wrap per inch test to figure out the size I had. It still looks nice, just not so tightly put together like yours is. On the second attempt with the right sized hook and slightly bigger yarn it turned out perfect! The kit has been so useful too! I don't quite understand the charts telling you how to make things yet but in watching you and listening to you I learned so quickly. Thank you so much! This was fun and I do look forward to trying more. :)

why does everything i make come out larger than its supposed to and with gaps? everything i make looks inconsistent. im using soft yarn and maybe my hook was too big, but no matter what size needle everything i make comes out this way. this thing was hardly identifiable as a bear by the time i was done and it curls up around the edges. i did all the steps right 😢
