Thank you so much for this lovely pattern! Very clear instructions and tips. I find locating the correct stitch to connect the last double crochet in the trickiest part 😅 I think that is also because I have quite fluffy yarn and finding the ‘v’ is tricky. So far I have used this pattern with the granny sunburst to make 2 baby blankets and currently working on a third 😊

I love your tutorials Bella. They are very detailed in explanation and very easy to understand (I'm a beginner in crochet) However, approx how many blocks would one need to make a lap size throw?

I really wish I didn't have to click away for parts of the pattern... like another I thought was for a puff flower granny square but had to click away for the puff flower. You're my favourite that I've found so far.... but that is my only drawback.

I just love you crochet videos, could I just please ask how long did it take you to learn how to read a pattern? I've only been crocheting for a couple of weeks now but the patterns are double Dutch to me.🤔. I doesn't help with UK and US terms. I'm from the UK. I've been online and got a list of abbreviations but the penny still won't drop. Could you give me any advice please. Xxx
@bellacococrochet8 жыл бұрын
+Kathleen Mcvittie Hi Kathleen, I wouldn't say that I took a particular amount of time. I didn't use a pattern for a while when I was first learning. I'm very much a 'learn as I'm doing' kinda gal. I wouldn't consider myself an expert in pattern reading- sometimes I still struggle. I'd maybe recommend using one of the patterns that I have to go along with my tutorials and read it as you watch- so that you start to pick up what they mean xx

Question, on the second round of bobble stitch how many stitches should there be? You say 8 for the first round, but then you say 8 for the second round... I'm confused.... and I cannot understand why I cannot then turn this into a square, I seem some stitches short......

Hi Bernie I do have a tutorial in how to make a circle into a square, it's my sunburst granny square but it is the same principle, here is the link:- kzbin.info/www/bejne/jnTRoX9_nLihg9E hope this helps :)

I'm currently using this stitch, and my varies slightly from how your one appears. It didn't have the spaces. I'm guessing that's down to wool type and hook, I'm using 8ply wool with a 4mm hook. Anyway I decided to try and do a bigger version and the circle has begun folding in on itself and buckling. I thought it was my tension and redone it again. Is this stitch only designed for a small number of rows or is it something I'm doing?

Neither side of mine puff out much. Usually you make an sc in the next stitch and that forces the bobble to puff out.
@bellacococrochet2 жыл бұрын
The bobble circle is definitely more subtle than bobbles that are worked flat - you can experiment and add SC stitches if you wish 😊
