11/22/63 kept me glued to my recliner for two straight days. House of Leaves sounds fascinating, though I wouldn’t want to tackle it on the beach. And I don’t know Wicked though I’ve seen the Broadway show. So my vote is King. For your young age you’ve seen so much of the world and I am envious. I figure I’ll visit many places in my afterlife. Enjoy your Florida trip!

39:45 I lost my mom last March to a long battle with cancer. I’m very sorry for your loss. My mom was my very best friend, we talked every day and texted every day and saw each other every other weekend until we found out about the cancer. She was in my home with hospice care since October. I am dreading Mother’s Day. I’m a mommy myself to a wee toddler and I don’t know what to do with myself on this day. Very sorry for your loss. Sending you hugs from Sunrise, Florida. 😢🧡

I’m very sorry to hear this. Mother’s Day is always hard. I always try to ignore it but it’s never easy. My boyfriend is visiting his mom this weekend in the Midwest, and I got outta dodge for a week on the beach in Florida. She’s a great bonusmom but it’s not the same. Sending hugs your way!

I have found using one strand of white with one strand of bright dulls the bright colour. Using a strand of black keeps the colour bright. I live in the Wellington area of the North Island of New Zealand and I totally agree that we have so many shades of green surrounding us. I can also agree that the South Island scenery is phenomenal. The North Island isn't too shabby either. They have their own styles 😂

I've read all three of your fiction choices. FYI, Wicked book is different from the musical. Loved the King book. I highly recommend listening to the musical artist POE before finishing House of Leaves, I can't remember but I think she's the author's step sister and there are references to each other, fun, but not necessary. I agree though, House of Leaves is not a vacation book if your brain needs a break. If you like Stephen King you might enjoy Richard Layman (King on crack) and Robert McCammon (if you've not heard of them). Enjoy your break and stay safe!

I hope your exams finish well. Good luck with what you have left. If you use white along with the Picasso Rainbow, I would advise to make sure it is SUPER bright white, or the white will mute the bright colors. I am doing the same with that dark rainbow Picasso, and I got Caron Simply Soft Party in the white. It is VERY bright white with iridescent sparkle to reflect the colors in the Picasso. BTW, I hope you had a great Nurse's Week! We just finished ours (I work in hospice, in HR), and it was awesome. Especially the chair massages on Wednesday, in which I was able to indulge bc someone didn't show up... Eye-rolling awesome. Have a fabulous trip! 🐞

Thank you for the Nurses Week recognition! I basically got to take a vacation as my nurses week reward, so I call that a win! I love my hospice folks. So I'm sending you a postcard from Moldova!!!! Caron cotton is very similar to some yarn i purchased from Joom ( a similar site to Temu) and I knitted pillow cases because it was too thick for a top and still have them to this day ! To be honest Temu adds are all over the place but I made up my mind not to order online anymore, and I made a spring cleaning and noticed I have 145 skeins 😅😅😅

I'm in Northern California (NOT San Francisco...) and my favorite place out West is the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. The North Coast here is nice, but SO expensive. The reason medical staff in SF make so much is bc they're in what is probably the most expensive city in the Continental US. Ppl in SF typically move to other, previously cheaper places so they can keep more of their income. Even with a 2 or 3 hour commute, they prefer that to living in the Bay area... Anyways, hardly anyone here like SoCal either, even a lit of ppl who live there.

Yikes! We’re in a similar-ish situation where we live. I work in Manhattan because $$$ but then I’m very happy to escape the madness at the end of the workday to my property on 9 acres in the mountains! My drive is exactly one hour. I don’t mind it. It’s a beautiful drive! And we’d never be able to have a property like ours in the city because it literally doesn’t exist!
@DM-jy1gr6 ай бұрын
Rainbow Yarn is so beautiful it would be a shame to dilute its effect with another yarn. You could just crochet with two balls of the Rainbow Ice Wool together at the same time to make it thicker, instead of adding another colour. However, it would still look pretty if paired with white black or another colour in the rainbow yarn. You can google Rainbow Ice Yarn and it comes up with beautiful projects, with hats, scarves, shawls, blankets, cardigans and tops. The thinner wool gives it a beautiful soft drape, but it does take longer to crochet. 💜
