Greetings, Nice crochet stitch and teaching. Thank you! How is this stitch made in a rectangle for a long scarf? What would be the chaining and turning method at the end of a row and onward? Thank you.

im currently crocheting a square as part of a patchwork scarf so i might be able to help here !! if you were to be making a row of 10 you would chain stitch 10 stitches as your ‘cast on’ and then chain an extra one for turning. work your first cross stitch into the second chain from your hook (not the most recent chain you have just made) and keep doing that until the end of the row. when you’ve worked into the 10th stitch you will then want to chain one (your turning stitch) then turn your work and work back into the 10th stitch from the last row you made. essentially, treat it as if you were crocheting in simple single crochet stitches and had reached the end of the row. good look with your scarf, im sure it will be stunning! xx
