For whoever needs an approximate timestamp of the different rows: 1:06 - base chain row 1:30 - row 1 2:22 - row 2 (border row) 4:45 - row 3 7:50 - row 4 (start working the tail of the dragonfly) 11:20 - row 4 (first set of wings) 15:20 - row 5 (second set of wings) 19:15 - row 6 22:30 - row 7 To continue, start from row 2 onwards and repeat until done; finish the project by repeating row 1 :)

I’m going to make this a lap blanket for my mom. My aunty (her sister) passed away a few years ago suddenly and we always associate dragon flies with her. So this is so special to us. Thank you so much for this beautiful pattern. P.s. I like the music. It’s calming when and crochet can get frustrating so it helps with that.

That is such a touchin story.. also gld you liked the pattern and the music too ☺️❤️ I would love to see your blanket whenever complete

@kelseymaev did you ever make this into a lap blanket? I want to do the same and just wondering how many starting chain would be. My Dad passed in May and we see dragonflies everywhere now!
@kelseymaev2 ай бұрын
@@littlepixie12 yes I did! And I don’t remember I’m sorry. But I do remember making some of the squares as single squares and laid them out to figure out how long to make it. Hope that helps! Sorry it was so long ago

I have been looking for YEARS for a free dragonfly pattern like this!!!! I actually prefer the box style like this one and not the off-center one that I have found where people want me to pay big $$$ for, which i don't have much of. In my humble opinion, this style looks so much nicer. Especially for a new little princess being born very soon! My 3rd grand niece!!! (I also have a grand nephew as well). Each of the first 3 all have their own special one-of-a-kind afghan, in the middle of the others is their name. This one is going to have her name as well 🥰 >j
