Love these!!! I’d like to make my coworkers one of these; we don’t have access to windows so this would be a cute bit of “sunshine “ for their desk.

I love the way you explain things! Desperate for more of your tutorials to come out! Very interested in what numbers would come after the 1.1.2. With your final ring. Was looking to make bigger but with being so new to crochet, unsure on what would come next! Your tutorials are the only thing that has helped me and I’ve searched far and wide for help! 🤍

Hi Kailee, thank you for watching! The ever increasing circle uses a basic, incremental math Formula. So row 4 would be 2, 1, 1, 1 and row 5 would be 2, 1, 1, 1, 1 etc. 😊

More practice in not turning HDC into double crochet. Here are my three pleasant surprises: 1. My stitches were even-sized on every row-- and yes, even in the cinch circle (first time I think); 2. My third row had the right number of stitches! 3. There were 13 sun points evenly spaced at the end! Party time! I'm learning crochet! Yes!!!

@JaydaInStitches Жыл бұрын
Hi! It sounds like you might have been using a lighter weight yarn than I or possibly a smaller hook. If these were both the same, then you might have tighter tension. You can use a heavier weight yarn or 2 strands held together and/or you can use a larger hook. Both of these will make it larger and also help if you have tight tension 😊 Thank you for watching! 🎄

I have a question for you can I used acrylic yarn I don't have cotton yarn right now
@JaydaInStitches3 жыл бұрын
HI Lydia, you can use acrylic yarn for these and turn them into appliques, but if you use them as coasters, the stitches will flatten and look sort of dull - especially if you're sitting hot or wet things on them. That's why we recommend cotton for this project :)

Hi Jayda, I have made the sunshine coasters, but when I start making the points I only get twelve, am I doing something wrong?
@JaydaInStitches6 жыл бұрын
Hi Roni, we used the 'false" st in this project to close in the circle and that's how we ended up with 13, BUT, as long as your set of coasters match, it's all good!

When you show you are putting a stitch in the same one the chain 2 is in, then the one next to it looks like a nice "v", but on my work it looks like it is kinda broken, like the point of the "v" isn't completely pointed, so it makes it look like I am supposed to go to the next one because it is a perfect "v", so I'm getting my count off. How can I tell which one you mean?
@JaydaInStitches7 жыл бұрын
Hi Elaine, the important thing with this pattern is to have the right stitch count at the end of each row. If you're getting thrown off (either you don't have enough, of your have too many) then you need to pick a stitch to either add extra sts too (in order to bring up your stitch count) or pick on that you're going to skip (in order to bring down your stitch count). I hope that helps!

Thanks Jayda!

@JaydaInStitches6 жыл бұрын
Hi Andrew, we use the "false" stitch which gives us one more stitch to use than the base count of 12 from Row 1 :)
