Oh I did have a lovely Christmas, Sharon, I hope you did too. I got some slippers, perfume and money to go to the craft shop. Oh and a nice big note pad so I can try and write out my crochet patterns hahahah

Very pretty have you done this stitch as a baby jacket so there is a complete set or is it possible to use any pattern instructions for size guide but just change the stitch to this one x

Just use any basic jacket as a pattern, Jane. Tats exactly what I do. It takes a long time to video how to do jackets. I uploaded the blanket to match this hat, you will find it on my channel. The baby blanket I uploaded today on a crochet double treble cross stitch is beautiful and I did hat and a DRESS to match, The hat and dress will be uploaded during the week. xx

ok let me try and explain how to make a hole anywhere in the hat you need it. Lets say you are doing plain treble crochet stitches to make it easier to exlain. crochet along your row until you get to the place you want your 1st hole. chain 6 skip the next 6 stitches start crochet again. crochet as normal to where you need the next hole chain 6 skip 6 stitches and continue the row. on your next row when you get to the 6 chain put 1 treble crochet into each of the 6 chain stitches. this will create a hole crochet along as normal to your next chain of 6 and do the same put 1 treble crochet into each stitch in the chain of 6 this will create your next ear hole. continue to finish your hat. If you cant follow it I will see if I can make a hat as I have a Dashund hes a bit bigger than a mini but his head is sort of lurcher greyhound shaped. If you go on to the community page on my channel I will see if I can post a pic of him with a baraclave I was trying to make him.

@@AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel hey hey I did I did it! The 1st attempt was too small so I gave it to a smaller collie x saluki recently rescued from Russia by a neighbour. V cute. 2nd time I measured in cm around his whole ear at 19cm's with 11 cm inbetween ears. The result was too big & fitted a vaymerana(?) belonging 2 a local dog trainer. 3rd time lucky I chained 14 + skipped 10 & treble crocheted around the hat. BIG difference with my lurcher is that from the above eye beginning circum. (37cm) - the i front of ear circum. (41cm) is including a 1cm drop as 4cm into the WIDTH his head has a 42cm circumference. Also almost 3cm needs to shorten inbetween the earholes to keep the ear holes in correct position, stop a loose looking 'peaked pocket' + keep the hat comfy and still. I double crocheted 3 beginning rows then triple cr one row. I then triple cr adding a stitch every 2nd poke hole(lol new 2 terms) + using markers of a sort for the underneath bottom L-R wisdom tooth or jaw I did single triple cr st's on that row and on added a following double cr row single cr around except inbetween the ears I continued another 2 following rows with an idea of pushing into the 2nd next hole instead which shortened and brought the ear holes together wonderfully. The last row inbetween ears I did the same which brought the row length into thee ideal 8cm to fit. That was yest. It fitted superbly. THANKYOU. Today I'm adding a final single row in a lighter colour 2 finish & am toying with adding a small brim. Whether I button or pin it bk then make one for my own huge head- my thick course red curls have never had a hat that's stretched over them. Using same start idea so I can have a hole for my curly pony or messy bun. I didn't meet my mum til I was 25 + it didn't work out. I'm 36 now + I DEARLY appreciate your smart woman advice. God bless on this sabbath & please keep doing your videos. Leg warmers for dogs? That simple kind of sock 3D ribbed pattern technique would b amazing. Dunno if it's possible. Pls consider a video.
