I tried making this for my first crochet project, it was relatively easy to follow and I was able to finish! Only thing is that my scarf stretched as I was making it and was over 5 feet long by the end LOL. Maybe the type of yarn I used? Would recommend maybe doing less than the 250 stiches

I think it's because she's doing the crocheting along the length of the scarf rather than the breadth. I've always thought it's built up along the breadth so the stretchiness is restricted to the breadth. I don't know for sure though, I'm a beginner myself. Any experienced crocheters please correct me if I'm wrong.
