Hi! I'm a newcomer to your group! I have watched a few of your videos, and I am currently making this shawl!. I had quite a time with the second row, i had to decrease a hooksize from what I chained with! Your videos are very clear and helpful. Very important question: How do you keep cat hair from getting in your crochet???? I also wanted to comment on your dress in this video...historically accurate uneven eyelets!
@OpheliaTalks2 жыл бұрын
Hi Amy, welcome and thank you for joining. Cat hair, well yes, that is a question, I don't do anything specific really, obviously I try and be careful, but I'm not that worried about her hairs. Thank you, I made the dress, I used to be in a reenactment group and I made all my own costumes and my family's too. Thanks for watching, Anja x

need to keep watching, I'm having a bit of difficulty with it. Not sure why. It reminds me of another pattern a long time ago with the chain row and then the shells, but I'm worried I'm putting the 5 Treble Crochets in the wrong places along that next row.
@OpheliaTalks4 жыл бұрын
you just place them in the CH3 in between the shells! good luck Sharon!
@Sharoncat20084 жыл бұрын
@@OpheliaTalks I wouldn't give up and watched over again the chain three row and found I was adding an extra chain three, then the next row was easy to see where to go with the shell. I hesitated at the end of each row to make sure I didn't go too far or not far enough and I think I finally got the rotation of the rows down pat. Thanks for your reply. I picked a color close to yours Anja, rust for Fall. I think also my yarn is thicker so it's not as lacy looking, but it will be warm for sure. Have a great weekend. See you on Sunday.

I love your Designs and I just found you! I'm so excited. The only question is how many yards of yarn is needed???
@CarruthersDruthers3 жыл бұрын
Stylecraft Special DK has 295 meters/322 yards, and Anja uses 4 balls of this yarn.
@katievioletthedivadog86624 жыл бұрын
How would you best measure this based on someone’s size rather than the length of their arms? I am a very large woman, unfortunately, and I’m concerned that if I only measure my arm lengths, that it might not be long enough to wrap around me. It’s absolutely gorgeous. I love the color! I love that you named it after castle.
@OpheliaTalks4 жыл бұрын
Adding more length after the f2f measurement will help. but I think you will just have to keep trying it on! Good luck! xxx
@Pouquiloury Жыл бұрын
If you measure the length you require to wear it the way she shows it, you know how long it has to be at the top. You have to test your tension and gauge for the yarn you'll be using to see how many stitches for the pattern you need. It is mentioned how many multiples the pattern requires. Test the yarn and fabric for stretch as well.
@impunitythebagpuss2 жыл бұрын
