I saw these at a local Greek festival and had to find out the meaning. My grandmother was Greek so I know there are a lot of superstitious(for lack of a better word) beliefs. When I learned it's meaning I decided I wanted to learn how to crochet the Mati. It took awhile to find one in English. Thank you so much for sharing in English as well, I'm not sure why but I didn't get to learn much about the culture or language from my grandmother, so it's nice to get a little knowledge here and there.

Hello Kiki, thank you so much for this video. You have a great style and you are a pleasure to listen to. I was wondering if you could teach us all how to make a beautiful Amigurumi doll.you are the best teacher and I would enjoy learning how to make a dolly with you. Thank you 🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦

Thank you very much!! As much as I love to see Amigurumis, I hate to make them... I've done two so far, one of them in english as well (the teddy bear), and I just wanted to get it over with. :(

Very good video.By the way, picot is a French word and like many French words, the final 't' is not pronounced. 🙂
