Hello Robin I love the heart in the centre of the granny square. Do you also have a tutorial using the same heart for putting the heart into a granny square without it floating above the square.

I'm making a temperature blanket with granny squares. I looked at a bunch of patterns including hearts for my valentine day square and yours is by far the best. Super simple and you explain very nicely.
@pegbravo4303 жыл бұрын
Love this pattern. But instead of cutting my yarn at the last slip stitch after the last treble crochets. I continued on slip stitching to the next 3 chain and then followed your instructions back to where i started. this way I didn't have to cut my yarn twice. then attached my other color for my square.

Excellent video! Great method for squaring off a heart. I love the 3D effect. I have several hearts made from random patterns and wanted an easy way to make them into squares for a throw or a pillow. It took a couple of tries, but I got the right spacing for the first row of the square. I'll have to figure it out for each different heart pattern, since they aren't granny hearts. (My next ones will be, though.) Thanks for sharing your creativity and making it so fun to learn new things.

@@HookedbyRobin The eyelet triangle shawl, 3min star, hair scrunchies, v stitch scarves, c2c shawls (one of my favourites), a flower garland, used your method on my kids' blankets ( as Christmas gifts) and totally nailed the chenille issue of looping so I'm very grateful for that tip 🙂 and this heart was nice and easy. The highlight of my week was making the arigurumi jellyfish though 😍 made it as a keyring in blue variegated cotton and now he's hanging from my car mirror 😂 He's my first arigurumi and was so much easier and fun to make with your video 👍

Thank you ,Robin ,for taking the time to teach this ! It is a much easier and less confusing version of the one I tried to follow right before finding your channel..No offense meant to the other lovely lady, but I personally just had a hard time following along with her instruction,no matter how I slowed down the video or stopped/started over again.Ot was a slightly more involved pattern and I even tried to write down each step as she did it on paper,and I am areasonably much experienced crocheter..It just wasn't the pattern for me! And once I started following along with yours,I realized probably why it was more to my liking,because I have made other motifs with pansies/ flowers before which made use of this " back behind chain technique " for working the granny square around the central design .I must say I did enjoy your calmness and clarity, and most of all your charming and delightful personality and sense of humor about relating to the cat hair! I am a cat lover (and don't get to see my Grand children as often as I'd like to ) so we have only one (a rare thing for me anyways!) And she is totally twisted ,entitled ,and spoiled to the core ! It's Spring ,so the Winter coat shedding has started as has hairball "gifts" she leaves for me to find and gag over! And she's just a shorthaired mess! That you for a very pleasant lesson and I look forward to learning more patterns from your videos.. now that I am retired and have time to sit and crochet!
