This top is so cute I'm making for a gift for a friend of mine she's younger and very tiny i know she will love it. I know it's a older one but thank you for sharing this. It's a classic and will never really go out of style.

It’s just a matter of having a fitting guide, you can find on Google, use that for your patterns as I have had too for so many tutorials which don’t give sizing or tape measures

If it's 80 stitches and stick mark 41 how can you then get 40 either side of marker?

She said 82 stitches, mark 41st stitch. Worked up just fine for me.

Love this!! quick question: can i use a weight 4 yarn for this project? and would i have to use a different hook size?

I made mine with weight 4 yarn and a 3 mm hook so that it would come out in the same size. It came out perfect!

The blog should be up and running now. I had some issues yesterday with it but everything should be ok now. I would suggest chaining about 86 for a medium.
