Yeah, with the globe watching these tutorials, some of our crocheters don't get cold seasons like up here in Canada. So it doesn't work for everyone.

We don’t have this yarn in our area yet so I made a size medium with one ball and a little bit (main body) with L&T Charisma as substitute. (Sorry Caron, I did look for it!) Worked out great and pattern was easy to follow with video to assist, thanks Mikey!

What if I used 4 weight yarn and. 5mm hook? Is. that possible. and how would. it. change. the. count??

I would find a different pattern for that. It will make a difference in sizing.

I'm new to crochet, what area on my dog do I measure? I know it says chest, but the medium seems a little too small and I have a 15lb Terrier
@TheCrochetCrowd2 жыл бұрын
You measure the chest behind the dog's front legs. If you increase your hook size, you can increase the dimensions that way if that helps to know that.

Can you check your pattern Granny Square Jacket? There are no instructions on how to connect the pieces. Very frustrating 😕
@TheCrochetCrowd3 жыл бұрын
I don't recall doing a video on a Granny Square Jacket. Are you sure that's my tutorial? I know Yarnspiraitons has asked me to video tape one but I haven't done it yet.
@kathyseacrist38133 жыл бұрын
@@TheCrochetCrowd it was just a pattern. I see you have a new pattern for the jacket which is more detailed. Some sizes of the squares have changed but I think I can follow the directions now. Thank you
@jessicavinson59623 жыл бұрын
I am kind of confused by the instructions for the small, you end on row five and should in theory have to turn your work to the wrong side and work row six. But it says stop there to start the leg and start on the right side. Do I end my yarn at five and start new yarn at six on the right side? Won’t that mess with the texture?
@TheCrochetCrowd3 жыл бұрын
if you think the texture will be wrong. You sound like you are aware of what you are looking for in the pattern, improvise in the case something in off.
@jessicavinson59623 жыл бұрын
Mostly I was confused by the directions but I will just add an extra row to get back to the “right side”

Anyone makes this for a beagle? I am thinking the chest size would be a large. But when I think large, I think of a large dog…like a lab or border collie

Holy, I do not understand that pattern with those diagrams. Guess I won’t be making that. I am a visual learner and can not read that diagram pattern
@TheCrochetCrowd3 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry about that. The diagrams are my own and not included in the pattern. For myself, I needed a visual cue due to the way i learn and demonstrate. I'm sorry that my own need for demo ruined this for you. If you don't want the diagrams, just ignore, it's not part of the download and you can read the word instructions instead.
@gypsyrose19583 жыл бұрын
@@TheCrochetCrowd oh heck I meant no offence. I just am one of those people that can stare at that and it doesn’t sink in. I am still going to make this coat. It is just not your diagram it is all of them.

Don't understand why they only make these things a flap for their back and not a cover for their tummy for male and female.
@TheCrochetCrowd3 жыл бұрын
I think it has to do with urination and when dogs walk, the legs kick up water, mud and more and would be on the coat. It's probably why.
@rkng13 жыл бұрын
@@TheCrochetCrowd I believe you're correct. I have purchased jackets/sweaters and the boys get it wet when they urinate also if there's tall grass that's wet. Having to wash after each use is frustrating
