Listening to your voice in this video, it reminded me of one of my favorite channels when I was first learning crochet. I saved this one to help me finish a hat I'm making for tomorrow and went to your 'page' to see what other videos you've put up. Imagine my delight when I saw 'Bob', I miss your videos, and pray you are doing well. I know you were having difficulties, I was also at that time (and before I found 'Bob", that's what brought me to crochet to start with) I truly hope you are doing well.

Oh my goodness, I must of been off with the fairies. It should be all single crochet. Good spotting and thank you for pointing it out.

Thank you SO MUCH for putting that annotation warning about the fringe that looks like spider legs! It freaked me out even with the warning, so it would've been SO much worse without it! LOL (Arachnophobia isn't a laughing matter, but I'm laughing at myself so it's okay. =P)

At around 5:53 were you supposed to do 2 hdc in the same stitch or were they supposed to be 2 sc? :)

I love how it looks with the brim down! I know your name is Clare, but I keep wanting to say/call you Bobwilson, I hope you don't mind!

Hi Bob, the brim part is really confusing. I made this hat once before and Now I can't understand bout the brim. Can you explain? and do you have to use 2 strains of yard? I think I remember using 1 strain. Hope to hear from ya soon..

Thank you for your wonderful tutorials! I am a little confused on the brim. Is ROW 1 of brim 2 sc in each stitch all the way around? ROW2: 1 sc in each ROW 3: 1 sc 1sc 1sc then 2 sc in next (all the way around) then ROW 4: 1 sc all way around? ROW 4: increase every 4th stitch ROW 5: sc all way around? Would it be too much trouble to put something like that in the notes section? I'm a visual person and when I see something written down it lessens my confusion. Thanks so much for all your helpful videos!

+Pat Brooks As she is using a smaller hook in this one, she had to adjust from the original version. From looking through the video a couple of times I got the pattern down as follows... ROW1; 2sc in each sc ROW2; 1sc in each sc ROW3; 2sc into every third sc (1sc, 1sc, 2sc) ROW4; 1sc in each sc ROW5; 1sc in each sc, ROW6; 1sc in each sc ROW7; Finishing row, one very tight slip stitch into each sc (change into a smaller hook if needed to get the best curl)
