Thank you! I am crocheting a Christmas hat for my grand daughter in the Christmas colors variegated yarn. I wanted to put a poinsettia on it, and looked on youtube for one. I like this one and I plan to use it. Thanks so much for sharing with us!

Great poinsettia. I have made different type before, but I like this one the best. I did find that when slip stitching down I caught the back of the chain. I like the effect it gives the petal. Thank you for sharing I love your tutorials.

Love your video! The poinsettia is very pretty. I am considering using #10 cotton crochet thread. And to have a stem: using green floral wire, bending the end into a circle twice or three times, and bending the rest at an angle away from the circle. Substitute the wire circle for the ch-4 ring at the very beginning. Then proceed as you have demonstrated.
@anneramirez95773 жыл бұрын
Amethyst Anne, have you tried it yet? I’d use #3 thread if I were you. Otherwise your poinsettias will come out very small. But shiny!

Thanks for the lovely design and instructional video. I wish I'd known though how difficult it would be to get the free printed pattern, especially having to translate from US to UK crochet terminology.

luv yr patterns & how u teach - I wud also like to download the written pattern but cannot cut & paste on yr site - is there a reason for this? Wud like to include some of these for a pkg I am getting ready for a senior's home for them to hunt for (hv 135 ppl to crochet for - lol) - belong to a group called Random Acts of Crochet Kindness - am housebound b/c of health so am donating to a senior's home (my friend works at & on her floor there r 135 residents) - many tks.

This is a wonderful tutorial. However, I keep running into the problem of the front loop of the stitch stretching out, no matter the hook I use when working on the green portion of the poinsettia...

I enjoyed your presentation and teaching style. Iam curious however, that you made 1 hdc into the last 2 stitches of the very first petal, but only 1 hdc into each of the remaining petals. Just curious.
