OMGoodness I adore Lady bugs! I love thread appliques too. I convert them to thread yarn and make them small for my junk Journals! My daughter who became a Angel to soon was Lady Bug!! Her oldest is Lil Bug, her middle child is Turtle bug and her youngest is Baby Bug. When we see Lady Bug is a gift from my daughter. 🐞🐞🐞🐞🐞🐞

That's a very touching sentiment. You've made tears come to my eyes. If you'd like, I could add your family to our prayer list. No pressure! My husband & myself say prayers every night at 10:00PM-till we're done. My daughter turned 12 days, after her only Grandpa she had, & was very attached to him. Devastated, when he died. But, once, when we went to his graveside, she called me over, to her. "Mommy, look!' A lady bug on a flower, when it was too cold for a lady bug to be there. 'God sent a lady bug from Grandpa, in heaven! He still thimks of me!' She was so excited. Then, she started high school, that's when she went south. Drinking, partying, busvh party's, running around, doing every drug available, then lots of it! I was afraid of her, by the time she was 14. She was muscular, tough, hard, nothing like the little girl, who always had a smile on her face. So polite, respectful, just a real Sweetheart. And, many people commented, at what a wonderful connection, she & I had. Then, everything(her father's genes. Sociopath, psychopath, narcissist, rage)fell into her. I very rarely ever saw my daughter anymore, only if she wanted something. She's 38 now, & hasn't spoken to me for 6 yrs. We haven't seen my Grandchildren for 6 yrs. They were 11, & 12 then, & my Grandson, turned 17 day before yesterday. He's 17, my Granddaughter is 18 now. Brokenhearted? You betcha. But, I can lay down, & die, or I can let go, & let God! I choose the latter. The only way I deal with it is thru God, The Father. God, The Son. And, God, The Holy Spirit, & very importantly, my husband of 26 yrs. He has been here thru all of it, never wavering. He's helped bring me back from some really dark times, & just loved me. A coma, when I finally broke 6 months after my Precious Mom died. I had no one! Every one of my Mom's relatives deserted me, at the funeral home. June 17/15. None of them has ever spoken to me since. 8 of my best friends that i thought had my back for the rest of my life. Done!

Absolutely adorable!!! I made it tiny with #10 crochet thread & size 7 steel hook. Perfect to perch on a flower or leaf decorating the flap of crocheted purse. Thank you so much for sharing this!

Thank you for the tutorial. Made a few up and then sewed 2 together and stuffed then made little key rings to leave out for Random Acts of Crochet Kindness. Ladybugs are good luck
