Awesome job!! You did great, and made it through all those events. After 3 markets in one week, I'd be in a coma! Lol...😂 I'm prepping this week too, for my last market of the year. Wishing you the best at your next event! ❤

Hi! Great video! Im trying out different patterns for headbands. Most of the tutorials on youtube show how to measure the head and crochet the headband accordingly. But i wanted to know how you determine various sizes of headband when you dont crochet for anyone is particular but for selling in markets. Different sizes.
@awestruckcrochet14 сағат бұрын
I have my own pattern for the headbands [not released], but I did the same thing. I looked at a standard size chart for sizing for newborn, baby, toddler, child, and adult. I mostly keep newborn and adult sizes in stock for markets.

@awestruckcrochet oh wow! Looking forward for the release then! All the best! Meanwhile l do the same- use available charts online.

Hey there👋 still enjoying your videos and all your helpful information❤ Question... A while back you talked about how someone had gotten your unicorn lovey dirty. Did you ever find a way to clean? I had my first market a couple weeks ago and it was very windy. A few times my displays blew over and a bunch of my stuff got dirty😔 It was so embarrassing but even more upset about all my babies😫 One that got dirty was my most expensive item, which was also a unicorn. She was made with mostly sweet snuggles lite/chenille home slim winter white. She is stuffed with the more expensive filling. I don't know what to do. There are several others that got dirty as well. I did have a wonderful market and surpassed my expectations, so I am thankful. But I'm really hoping to save some of them. Any suggestions? Thank you❤

@tiffanydetzel9125 hii!! Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear about your unicorn. Also, how exciting that you had an amazing market 🎉👏 so happy for you! I did get the unicorn lovey cleaned up. I sprayed OxiClean Stain Remover spray on the dirty areas and let it sit for about an hour. Then I hand washed with cold water to get the stain out. I would scrub with my finger in the stain remover and then rinse. I did that until the stain remover was off the arms/legs. Then I laid it flat to air dry. My yarn was bernat blanket in white and it came out. It also worked with a cheese stain that I found on another white plushie. I'm hopeful it'll work for you too on your chenille yarn.

KZbin recently updated their copyright system. If there is music being played in the background of your videos that are out of your control, you no longer are copyrighted (is that the correct word lol) for that. Also if you go into a store and they have music playing, same thing. You did really well congratulations

@@pixiemariecreates thank you so much ❤️ the horse is from Mama Made Minis. I used the Pegasus Pearl Plushie pattern and the horse modification that they have for it.

Thankyou so much for another great video. I am having my first market this coming weekend. I have a question if you can help. How do tell your customers about adding sale tax when they want to pay and do you add tax either for card payment and cash or only card payment
@awestruckcrochetКүн бұрын
@SABRINEBENALLALBENJELLOUN yaaay! How exciting! In my square app, it adds all the sales tax for cash and card purchases on top of the price. In settings you'll add the sales tax rate and then can toggle if you want the sales tax added into the price or in addition to the price. Since I have markets in different counties with different tax rates, I have it set to add onto the price. When people are paying and have their cash ready, I usually say "just the ___ [item name] for you today? Okay! Let me figure out the overall total with sales tax". There's never been an issue with people paying sales tax, and everyone has been so understanding. Many people will say for me to keep the coin change and it'll add up to where it covers a small purchase sales tax rate like a scrunchie that a child is paying for. I'll add the sales tax, but take the child's cash and the leftover change that people have told me to keep usually covers the child's small purchase sales tax. I did make new tags and included "+ sales tax" under the pricing price box so people can just automatically expect it from now on moving into the 2025 year of markets.

Hi Allyssa! How do you advertise and do your custom orders during markets? ❤
@awestruckcrochet14 сағат бұрын
@itsjessicaodonnell5260 I always mention that I can take custom orders for different sizing and colors in the beanies when I notice people chatting about them but looking for a different color or size since I don't always have all the colors and sizing available. Also if someone asks if I can make something that they've seen before but I don't have it at the current market. If the product is on etsy, I'll tell them they can shop in my etsy shop to purchase [especially if I'm not at a local event]. If they are local and looking to pick up, I send an invoice in my square app. I'll ask for their name and number, fill in what they're requesting and then the invoice is sent as a text and they can pay then or wait until they have time to themselves to pay vs trying to do it at a crazy market.
