Rnd 2 is 16 sts. Rnd 3 is 24 sts. Rnd 4 is 20 sts worked, then close with slip st. Remaining sts are unworked.

Here's the pattern for: Frog and bear R1: 8sc in mr R2: inc (16) R3: sc, inc (24) R4: 1sc, [1dc, 2tr, 1dc] in one st, 1sc, 15hdc, 1sc [1dc, 2tr, 1dc] in one st, slst then do another one but leave the tail long Cat R1-R3 the same as frog and bear R4: 1sc, [1dc, 1tr, 1dc] in one st, 1sc, 15hdc, 1sc, [1dc, 1tr, 1dc] in one st and the other steps are the same

so you know for the bears ear it would be 1dc, 2tc, 1dc... for the cat the ear has to be more pointy so you'll do 1tc instead of 2tc. (sorry that I'm 8 days late tho TT)

en la última vuelta haces un sc, en la próxima cadena haces un dc, tc, dc( los tres puntos en la misma cadena) luego en la próxima cadena haces un sc, después haces las 15 hdc y vuelves a hacer otro sc. En la próxima cadena haces de nuevo dc, tc, dc ( en la misma cadena) y por último haces st en la cadena que sigue y cortas el hilo espero ayude!!🫶🏼

Most probably when you were doing the stitches you did them in the middle of the strands and not under the both of them if you separate both strings on accident that can happen 😊
