Waste yarn is a great stitch marker, doesn't get in the way. Those fasteners are snaps, or clips, not buttons.. Have you tried to wrap the yarn over the needle eye, hold firmly with thumb and index finger. Pull needlle out and bring it to the loop on your yarn between fingers, move fingers to push yarn across the needle eye until it goes through, loosen fingers as it goes in the eye, use fingernails to pull yarn through. Done.

nice video do you have written directions and when you do the flap for the rows are ya chaining at end when ya make the 7 rows also for the straps did ya put the straps at the top through 2 holes or one thanks

I like your design but there’s something wrong with your description. When you sometimes say “increase” you increase once and then single crochet in the next stitch. But an increase is just an increase in one stitch and doesn’t include what we do in the next stitch. I had to undo what I crocheted until I got what you meant with an incease. I’ll try again. :)

Yeah, because the pattern first is 1 sc and then increase (it's not wrong).
