I made this 3 times and 3rd luck's the charm! I messed up bad at the first try and I used it to store my stuff 2nd became a gift but the slip stitches were messed up, 3rd worked out fone- a lil wonky slip stitch, but I love this pattern!!! Thank you!

I'm not sure if I'm using the wrong yarn or doing something else wrong, but every time I get to step 4(32) (around time 6:00), my pouch crinkles weirdly and the crochet is wavy. I'm using a 3.0mm crochet hook and a yarn weight that is meant for the hook. Do you know if this is normal? It doesn't look to be wavy in the video, and I've tried maybe 3x already always with the same result.😢 I am a beginner so I'm probably just missing something.
