This blanket is a very easy pattern but you'd never guess it! I have made many of these as gifts and they are always well received. If you would like the free written pattern you can find it here: byjennidesigns....

You are the BEST "TUTOR" I've ever watched on You Tube. You explain, show, and repeat a couple of times in a slow place, but it's fast enough. Your camera angle is perfect. I'm recommending you to everyone. AND -- it's Cyber Monday 2023 and I'm headed to Craft Stores to buy this yarn. I've got two ladies I'd like to give this to, and it is fast and beautiful. THANK YOU!!! 😘

If I count my stitches in each row, should I then have 90? Does the turning chain count on each end?

If you wanted to make a baby blanket with this stitch, what are the multiples? I love this Bernat and also the border

Hi Cynthia, thank you. You can subtract from the beginning chain in multiples of 3. 🙂

Jenni can you tell how many chains for a baby blanket? Thank you very much I appreciate it.
@ByJenniDesigns9 ай бұрын
Hi! Unfortunately, I don't have the exact chain amount that I've used when making this for a baby but you can subtract from the chain in incrimates of 3 and then measure the chain to get a general idea of the finished size. Just remember the border will add a few inches to the size at the end.

I made this blanket for a colleague and just finished it, made it a little bigger than a throw blanket (more like queen size). I washed and tumble dry on low and it came out great! My fiancé wants me to make him one, however, he doesn’t like any holes in his blanket. Can this pattern also work with just a SC instead of double crochet, and would the ends still be the same (ch 4, turn, start from the 4th chain in the beginning.. then after each row ch 2 then turn)?
@ByJenniDesigns11 ай бұрын
That's a great idea! For this, your beginning chain should be a multiple of 3 + 2, start in the 3rd ch from the hook and at the end of each row ch 1 before turning. I worked up a small sample to test it out and there still will be small holes but definitely not as big as the original pattern. I might have to actually work one up this way too. 😁

Yay! Thank you so much for responding! I really loved your design patterns and the borders just adds that finished look, def takes it to the top and makes the finished product look like it was purchased instead of made ❤ I already started with the chain 😁😁😁

hi! thank you for this tutorial im so excited to start😄 one question: is the width of the 93 chains including the border or is it only the main body and the border is added after?
@ByJenniDesigns Жыл бұрын
Hi Nicola! The border is added at the end. 🙂

When I "skip 2" am I counting 1 chain, then 2 chains and going into THAT chain? Or am I counting 1 chain, 2 chain, then going INTO the 3rd chain?
@ByJenniDesigns2 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for the question! You would be going into the 3rd chain.
@Scarlesia2 жыл бұрын
@@ByJenniDesigns Thank you so much for the super fast reply. Is it the same for working into the 4th chain from the beginning? Am i counting 1 chain, 2chain, 3chain, 4chain, then working into the 5th chain?
@ByJenniDesigns2 жыл бұрын
You're welcome! For your 2nd question, you would be working into the 4th chain and only skipping 1, 2 & 3. 🙂

Of the four skeins used for this, how many were used for the 38”x54” main body of the blanket (“v” stitch area) & how many are needed for just the border (in particular the ribbed border)?
@ByJenniDesigns7 ай бұрын
I believe a full ball is needed for the border but it's been a while since I've made one so I can't be positive. Sorry I can't be of much more help.

I am on my 4th skeinand I'm only on row 44. I am not going to get to row 62 before I run out, and I have followed the directions. Each skein is 220 yards too

Hi Jen When you did 93 stitches and you said if you want to add more then do increments of 3 does that mean if you had 100 stitches you’d do 103 or do you mean from 93 it would be 96, 99, 102, 105 etc ?
@ByJenniDesigns2 жыл бұрын
Hi! Thanks for your question, you should add in increments of 3 to the original chain of 93 (96, 99, 102). 🙂

Be careful. You’d need to spend at least 80.00 on this-if you use the skeins that are 150yards. I found out the hard way. She is using the double skein.
