Thank you for the amazing pattern! I'm making a few as gifts, so I went ahead and typed up the pattern and copied it below since I couldn't find it anywhere in the comments. I thought I'd save others the trouble of writing it down themselves since I already typed it myself. Happy holidays! 😄Let me know if there are any mistakes or if anything is unclear. I haven't written down many patterns myself before. inner portion, everything is BLO! 1. 6 sc into magic ring (6) 2. (2sc)* (12) 3. (2sc, sc, sc)* (16) 4. (2sc, sc, sc)*, sc (21) 5. sc* (21) 6. (sc, sc, sc2tog)*, sc (16) 7. sc* (16) 8. sc* (16) 9. (sc, sc, sc2tog)* (12) 10. stuff 11. (sc, sc, sc2tog) * 7 (5 stitches left in round at end) outer petals, using BLO and the loops visible on the outside of the inner portion 1. sk 2 st, slst in BLO from back 2. ch 2, turn, dc2tog from same st, ch2, slst in same st 3. (slst in next st, ch 2, dc2tog from same st, ch2, slst in same st) * 5 (6 total petals) 4. (sk st, slst, ch 2, dc2tog from same st, ch2, slst in same st)* till end 5. slst into magic ring, ch 25, slst, ch, sew remaining thread And here's a comment I found from the video poster about the yarn and hook: "Yarn thickness 3 light, 8 play DK, light, worsted, weighing 100 gr/roll then length 255 meters. The hook size is 2.0 mm"

All stitches are BLO. Row 1: Make a magic ring- 6 sc at magic ring Row 2: 2 sc inc *6 Row 3: (sc, sc, 2 sc inc)*4 times Row 4: (sc, sc, 2 sc inc)*5 times, sc Row 5: sc at each st (total 21 stitches) Row 6: (sc, sc, 2 sc tog)*5 times, sc Row 7-8: sc at each st (total 16 stitches in each round) Row 9: (sc, sc, 2 sc tog)*4 times (For some reason I always need to turn my pine cones inside out at this point) Fill with dacron cotton. Row 10 to end: sc, sc, 2sc tog (about 5 rows) Row 11: ch 2, (working in the same ch 2 sp and the next sp) 2dc tog, ch2, sl st into the same dc st. Repeat 5 more times until you have 6 petals. Row 12 to end: Skip 1 st, ch 2, (working in the same ch 2 sp and the next sp) 2dc tog, ch2, sl st into the same dc st. Repeat to end. End: sl st, ch 25, sl st, ch1, then sew using the remaining thread.

I may be wrong, but for Row 10 the person seems to repeat [sc, sc, 2sc tog] 7 times, skips 2 stitches and does a slip stitch
@AudraT14 күн бұрын
@@damonnesbitt1285 She might have done it 7 times, but when the yarn is so tiny it becomes almost impossible to do the sc, sc 2sc tog all the way to the end. When I'm working with tiny yarn, it's about 5 times. When the yarn is thicker, I do more. I don't know that she is skipping two stitches and doing the slip stitch at the end. Mostly because that wasn't in her written instructions at the bottom of the video. My guess is she couldn't physically go ALL the way to the end because the yarn was two tiny. Rather she just went as far as she could and then started row 11.

Very Real looking for being Crocheted, well done!! These are very pretty and could be used in a number of different ways starting in early fall through Christmas at least. They also have the potential of looking like and being used as something a little different than the pine cone!! IF one does the cone in any of the colors that are the same as the various trees that are used for Conifers/trees used as Christmas trees and then just stand them up where you would use them as decorations and/or Christmas ornaments!!! You could crochet colored mini bulbs on them and could string faery lights around them!! SO Many Possibilities!!!

Thank You! I was scrolling through the comments and was grateful to find yours. I too noticed the discrepancy on round 6, and had to count 7 times the sc,sc,2sctog at the end. Also, it wasn't clear at the end whether to stich ( 2 ch, 2dc tog, 2ch) into one backloop stitch or two. Initially I did them in one backloop stitch and it came out so dense and wrong. Lol But I managed to finish one after I corrected the error and used 2 backloop stitches instead. It turned out great! Thank you again for sharing your meticulous observation, it helps a lot with OCD people like me.

cool tutorial! but i dont understand how to find the loop in which to knit the petal😢
@Morbid666Malice14 күн бұрын
It’s the back loop only, so the usual V shape you see in the top of your stitches, you use the back side of the V instead of the whole V. Look up “how to back loop only stitch crochet” and you’ll get a FANTASTIC up close tutorial on how to do back loop only!! Save this video so you don’t lose it while trying to learn the “BLO” aka Back Loop Only. This is considered amigurumi because it’s worked in the round instead of in rows.
@Morbid666Malice14 күн бұрын
It’s also crocheting, not knitting! So you need to specify “crochet” in your search!!
