Hello! I've been catching up on your podcasts during social distancing during the coronavirus pandemic. Your projects inspire me, and your bubbly demeanor has helped me get through the stay at home orders as I cannot go to local craft groups. Another lovely chatty episode Lindsey, I always sit down with a cuppa (Yorkshire) tea and enjoy your chats! I'm all the way down here in beautiful New Zealand (ex pat from England though) I've done sewing, cross stitch, embroidery, knitting but then tried crochet a couple of years ago and that was it, I found my thing! it's pretty much all I want to do now!

I mostly crochet. I can knit and purl, but can't read a pattern, so I make dishcloths. I also sew, masks and some quilts. I would love to embroider and cross stitch, I did when I was a kid. But I was in a bad car accident several years ago and have nerve damage in my hands, they just don't work so well any more. Used to make a lot of cards and paper projects, too. I have a degree in fashion. I got married, had babies, and stayed home til they all went to school. Then spent 14 years selling milking machines and chemicals to farmers. ( not fashionable at all! lol) Then I got cancer and have been unemployed since. Lots of crochet time this way. I love hearing about your book, and glad its making you happy...I am your people.

Hi Linda 👋🏻 thank you so much for sharing your story with me 💕 I’m so sorry to hear the accident left you with nerve damage. Out of interest, have you tried embroidering with a small needle punch tool? Like the ones you use for wool needle punch, but smaller and just holds thread? I got one from Hobbycraft. Just thinking it might be easier than a tiny needle? 😘 thank you so much for watching and sharing all the amazing crafts you do 🙌🏻

I always enjoy your podcast. You make such different things. So many people all make the same. As well as knitting and some crochet I also cross stitch although I haven't done any for ages. I wish I could sew and make garments but it has never come easy. x

My mother taught me how to crochet in my teens, but before that, when I was small, she taught me how to embroider. When I get tired of crochet, I switch to embroidery or cross stitch. I have now ordered all my supplies for sashiko embroidery. Can hardly wait to dive into learning a new craft!

Oh gorgeous 😍 I’ve done a little bit of embroidery but never shashiko. Have you ever combined your crochet and embroidery and embroidery with yarns in top of a crochet piece? 💕

Hi Lindsey. How did I miss this episode?? I really enjoyed it. Its so good to be catching up with like minded crafty people especially in these strange times. I've tried many arts and crafts over the years (decoupage, quilling, sewing, embroidery, origami, card making etc probably easier to names the ones I haven't tried!) The ones I mostly do are crochet, knitting, cross stitch, macrame, photography, drawing and painting. I also studied art and craft in college (many moons ago in the early 90s 😄) but sadly have never had a crafty job. Really looking forward to the book. Going for a look at your website now and will be checking out that fringed summer bag 😍 keep doing what you're doing 👌

Oh, it would be easier to list the crafts I don't do than the ones I actually do. haha I also grew up in a crafty family, so I've crafted all my life. I too like to make things I've designed as much as making other designer's patterns, and I love home decor. I'm crocheting on a tablecloth (in cotton thread) of my own design as I visit.

I think alot of your projects inspire us. I love your laid back simplistic interior designs, it looks 70's kind of inspired(the good side 😄). I love that (and I'm 31 lol) you always find a way to upstyle something. Love love love that. Oh and not all cottons are bad as some people make it out, it's a personal choice right?

Another fab podcast Lindsey! I think my recent interest in macrame and weaving may have been inspired by some of your makes....I'm also getting more into the texture side of crochet. You really inspire! Properly finished my first rainbow blanket today and my son loves it, so thank you. Can't wait for your book, even though I know I have to!

@@lottieandalbert I tend to be a wearable accessories person, but I recently started spinning my own yarn and am feeling the homewares thing with some of my own fiber. I'm doing a series of cozies for several air fresheners right now. I also have grand plans for some embroidered/punch-needly types of decor at some point. We'll see if that happens :-p. Keep up all the great work!
